Peter & Pauls Orthodox Christian Church Personality: Father Seraphim is a relaxed individual. However over the years post his wife's murder, he has become slightly jumpy and worried looking--as if to say he is in some perplex trap that he is unable to escape. Despite his recent change in persona, he tries to appear even-keeled although his son is increasingly aware of his father's slipping stability. History: Seraphim was born in Moscow, Russia. He was the oldest of six children. However, at an early age his family left Russia's authoritative political spectrum and headed in pursuit of happiness toward the United States of America, the Land of the Free. They settled in a small town that still believed in ghosts, legends, fairytales, and myths. Russian folklore was running strongly through the blood of the Kulik family, and they found their niche of story telling to be quiet fluid in the small town folks' talk. His parents opened a bookstore which kept each member of the family as busy as possible. It was in the small town that Father Seraphim made the biggest mistake of his life. He made a deal with the Lord of the Shadows, the very Devil, himself. How this happened is as unexplainable to Father Seraphim as it would be if he decided to tell anyone. All he knew was that he wanted to marry the most beautiful woman in the world--Theodora Blum--a childhood friend that still resided in Russia. He cared and longed so deeply for the poor girl, that he sacrificed their first born son for an undivided love with her. It was years later, when young Father Seraphim realized what he had done. In an attempt to seek redemption, he decided to go to seminary school, with no intention of getting married. However, his first assignment out of seminary was to go to Moscow, Russia. Somehow, beyond anyone's explanations he was re-acquainted with his dearest Theodora Blum. She had blossomed over the years. Father Seraphim could not help himself. They were married weeks before he was ordained a priest. Months later, Aleksandr "Aleksy" Kulik was born. He was normal, and Father Seraphim wondered if he had dreamed that conversation with the Devil. Additional Information: Father Seraphim does not cuss. He does however have quite a tongue for alcohol, which he hides from everyone but his son and his Confessor.[/sub]
