[@CloseEnough] Reese would make sure to try and help everyone after this whole ordeal was over, right now though he had to try and help Eden, though he still wasn't sure if she was alright or not, if Chase knew her, than she couldn't have been all bad, regardless of their prior interactions with each other, the only thing important right now was to try and get away from whatever that thing was, noticing how it wasn't really a Deathclaw once it was a little closer, still, better to get away and then ask questions later. The bandit leader continued to swing at her, his encumbering size though made it difficult to hit her, even if some of the blows did connect, they'd graze at the very least. He was getting tired of her jumping all over the place, however he was curious what that stuff was that was on him, he didn't know the substance but it wasn't harming him it seemed, so he'd ignore it for the time being, though when she jumped on him and thrust-ed her blade into his shoulder, he couldn't help but let out a grunt, he could take cuts and even small gun shots, but blades going in fairly deep to his body, even he'd react to that. “When I get you girly, you'll wish I had killed you quickly!” He shouted, the look of a beast in his eyes as he pulled back for a stronger punch than he usually threw because anger was starting to take over, he was sure it'd hit her and if it did, he doubted she'd be able to get up. Though before the attack could make contact with her, Reese dove in front of the attack, using his rifle as a base to absorb the attack which made a small dent in the body of the gun, but better that then it hitting her, though the postion of the block changed slightly as he felt pressure on his wound as his injured muscle tried to hold back the bandit leader. “Hey, looked like you could use a little help.” Reese chuckled a little with a wince as he looked back at her and then back at the leader who's fist was still pressing against the gun. “So you know her? Well it will be equally fun to watch you be helpless as I kill her and then you.” The leader growled. “Nah, I don't know her, but I would never leave anyone to face a tower like you.” He continued to grin and chuckled a little. The leader obviously didn't like that and then used his free hand to slam his fist into Reese's gut, a wince and partially wheeze escaping as he felt the impact, his block lowering just enough to be hit in the head which sent him skidding into a nearby wall of a shop. Though it didn't keep him down, he was a little shaky getting up as a small amount of blood trickled down his head, his left eye not being able to open as well as him having shallow breathes. “You can keep thrashing me around all you like, I won't let you harm anyone.” He panted, feeling that since he was why they were here, it should be his fight, even if it killed him, he could at least give her the chance to run away. The leader chuckled but not out of amusement, no it was pure rage, a beast hidden in everyone, even if they refused to admit it was there and then said to him, “Well still won't change a thing, I'll crush her just to see it anguish you and then I'll kill you myself.” Reese went over between Eden and the bandit leader and said to her, “Perhaps you should run, he's not after you, he's after me, no sense in getting yourself hurt on my behalf.” He chuckled, only because he didn't see how things were going to end well, two bandit groups plus a strange beast he'd never seen before approaching, he didn't know how he as well as the town would get out of this.
