Also, if I were to write the janitor's perspective it would entail a whole lot of back-and-forthing which would just slow down the pace of the game.

A regular human janitor with one gun would only have one second of freedom before dozens of super teens take him out, though, right? Unless I'm missing something, which is quite possible.
