[@CloseEnough] The bandit leader let out a loud grunt as Eden dug into his wound with her hand, continuing though to dodge the beast when he could, he wasn't about to be defeated by her and the beast she was riding on, though he felt it was a little difficult, even with others of his gang helping attack the beast, he still had difficulty getting enough distance away from it to where he could retaliate properly. “Come on, the boss needs our help, focus on the girl and that damn beast!” Ral shouted, some of the other gang members focused on Reese now fully focusing their attention on the creature and Eden now. “It's difficult Ral, this thing is damn tough.” One of the members responded back, even with them getting hits on the creature, it didn't seem to want to go down, or even really care for that matter, at least it seemed that way to them based on how it kept trying to eat their leader. Reese took the opportunity of not being focused upon to begin exiting off the roof and go through an alleyway, pausing for just a moment to check his magazine, “Hmm, only about five shots left in this plus the last magazine in my bag, shoot, this is going to be tricky.” He spoke to himself as he began to once more go through the alley until he had a clear line of sight to their leader. He started to take aim at him with his rifle, though he thought about how large the beast was, even if he shot at the leader, he didn't know if he'd have the ammo to help kill the creature, not to mention the creature seemed like it was growing tired of being tamed, even if it was only temporary, so he had to move fast. He peered around the corner, seeing the other bandits using some walls for cover, he looked up to see a sign for a business just above them, he was sure this wouldn't be liked after-wards, but if he was going to help Eden, this was the only way. He fired two shots at the sign, it's weakest points being some bits of wood in combination with metal to keep it up. The wood splintered, eventually causing it to crack and then break, the structure now having too much weight on one side started to creek as the metal strained to keep the sign up until it fell in front of the bandits, blocking enough of the sight to where they couldn't shoot at Eden without moving from where they were. “Blast it, that punk.” Ral growled, unable to see because of the metal debris in the way. With Reese having done that, he slung his rifle onto his back, pulled out his combat knife and then started to run towards the leader. Ral noticing this quickly moved to the near center of the road, shooting at Reese, “Oh no you don't.” He spoke to himself, continuing to fire, the bullets missing Reese by inches, he was nearly there, just a little closer and he could make his move. Unfortunately, one of the bullets managed to hit Reese in the ankle, the bullet going clean through, caused him to lose his momentum and stumble before sliding into the ground. He winced as he gripped at his ankle, just his luck to be shot again, though it was a miracle he wasn't shot up more than already considering the circumstances. The leader noticed Reese and couldn't help but smirk, at least he'd make a decent meal for the beast, giving him time to temporarily retreat and make a new strategy with the gang members he had left with him. He started to quickly approach Reese, the beast only a few meters away and fast approaching, “Thank you for serving yourself up to his thing, will make killing you a whole lot easier.” He grinned victoriously, getting ready to stomp his boot down on Reese, if only to knock him unconscious. Reese swiftly rolled out of the way of the stomp, struggling to get to his feet and then lunged at the leader, stabbing him in the back of the thigh, the bandit leader dropping to a knee as a result and then Reese went and stabbed him in his still fresh wound, holding the blade there as the man let out a loud scream, Reese chuckling a little, “Well friend, I guess if I'm going down, I'll at least take you with me, this town will at least have one less threat to deal with.” The man glared back at Reese, struggling to get away from him though his movement became limited as he shifted, the blade continuously cutting into the man's inflamed wound, “Quickly, take him out, don't worry about me!” Reese shouted to Eden, he felt his body was going to give up at any minute, he was past the point of exhaustion, plus his wounds were finally catching up in a serious manner. “Let me go damn it!” The leader shouting, seeing how the beast wasn't too far away now, “Sorry, gave you too many chances, I can't risk you hurting other people.” Reese panted as he responded back to the man. “What, you think you'll be remembered as a hero or something? No one is remembered in the wastes!” He shouted back, seeing how his death would be imminent. “Hero? Nah, just trying to do what's right.” He lightly chuckled, watching the beast get ever closer to the two of them.
