It would be bad if anyone got trapped in the end of a passage with Arata closing in, but when backed in a corner people/animals can do amazing things, and combining that with fire based powers makes for some painful possibilities.

To quote a card from a game, which in turn is likely quoting or referencing something else. "Don't corner a barbarian, you become the path of least resistance."

EDIT: Not to say anyone in the game is a barbarian, in that case though you [i]really[/i] shouldn't corner the Oni.
