[b]Background[/b]: 
Akimoto Kenji is the first son of a small, but relatively influential, family in the Shinjuku Ward of Tokyo. His family are owners of several convenience stores spread out through the ward and, due to his status as the first born, Kenji has been raised with the idea that he would eventually have to take the family business into his own hands once his parents had reached the age of retirement. With a pampered lifestyle and family trade knowledge, Kenji had begun the road to an easy and vicing life, and as the news of the massive online roleplaying game, Sword Art Online, being released soon, it was only a matter of time before Kenji put his sights on it. He and his childhood friend, Yamashita Hachiro, planned for weeks before the release date on how they intended to play the game and try to dominate the gaming world, but as the news of the game taking a more grim-turn in the first few hours, Kenji's plan had started to take a much different path.

[b]Background[/b]:
Yamashita Hachiro by first glance is above average, large Japanese man who seems more prone to violence than conversation at any given point. However, regardless of his appearance, Hachiro is a rather polite and generous gentleman in his community than anything else. Hachiro was raised in a middle class family in the Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo, to a salary man and a house wife. Excelling in most physical sports and academics, Hachiro was granted enrollment in the more prestigious schools throughout Tokyo, in which he met his best friend, Kenji. The two had become inseparable throughout their lives and, regardless of the schemes and ploys that Kenji may have wished to attempted, Hachiro always seemed to have an interesting mind in the matter to prevent such things. As Sword Art Online was released to the initial ten-thousand, Hachiro gladly followed Kenji into their new endeavour in the gaming world but, even though the game became life-and-death, he still keeps his vigil against those who would dare harm either of them.
