Your curses and stuff could fall under something like voodoo/witchcraft/black magic. Really about anything on that list of synonyms could be a reasonable portfolio for you to expand into.

That black magic would be a nice thing to counter Astarte's more mainstream kind of magic. I can already imagine the Black Magic having an insanely long range or very strange applications while Astarte's magic requires the user to be significantly closer to its target.
