I'm going to be playing regardless of the year (unless we go back waaay too far). I mostly just didn't like the [i]idea[/i] of deciding the starting date on a dice roll, the year rolled was largely incidental. If a later period would be easier for you to manage as a GM, go with that.

God knows the biggest problem with WiR on this board is finding someone who can tolerate running it.
