In the future, please put High Casual roleplays in the Casual section.

No problem. To be honest it's not an official rule, but I'm a big advocate of maintaining the boundaries between the different sections to reduce confusion for newcomers.

@Hank I saw a couple of High Casual roleplays in Advanced so I only assumed but now I know for future roleplays!

I personally write more Advanced but we didn't want this roleplay to be intimidating to join so I didn't know the fine lines. Our roleplay can easily be shifted to higher expectations in terms of posts since it just began.

Welp, there you have it -- other people posting High Casual topics in the wrong place leads to more people doing it, like yourself. That's the confusion I was talking about.

@Hank So what's the true difference between High Casual and Advanced? The fine line I guess?

Because I think as of now we are reaching everything that an Advanced roleplay requires:

Advanced RP focuses on longer posts, often with in-depth plots, character development and extensive settings/lore. Must make a dedicated effort to minimize typographical errors and to use good grammar. Generally two paragraphs, but usually longer. See individual GM for RP specific standards

So far everyone's been writing the bare min of three paragraphs. A lot of the roleplayers are in tune with their character and have big plans on their development. The lore is simple but the people in the world make it complex. The people aren't terrible grammatically but there's always room for improvement.

I think what might not make it as intimidating as most Advanced roleplays is we're not strict GMs.

The difference has diluted severely over the past years. Advanced used to be an elitist clique of very capable and very prolific writers, but it's essentially become an extension of Casual now. The term High Casual first came into use around 2010 or 2011 when people wanted to bridge the gap between Casual and Advanced; now High Casual and "Low Advanced" are basically the same thing. Your RP would probably fit into both subforums.

I'm not a fan of that status quo and the first step is to convince people to move their High Casual roleplays back to Casual in the future.

@Hank I've learned so much. You're so factual xD. Thank you.

Aye Aye Captain! ~salutes~ I'll take this knowledge with me where ever I go and make sure my roleplayer friends don't make the same mistake in the future.

(Btw, you are now the main mod I'll probably run to when I have questions >.>. You're the best!)

I am absolutely interested in doing this RP. I see that none of the secrets have been crossed off really. Does that mean all are open?

@erinssss Hey, I'm one of the Co-GMs. Im not entirely sure which ones are completely filled, if any are, since @The Muse is the one documenting all the secrets (we Co-GMs are left out in the dark like everyone else), so I would PM her about it.

Also the RP has already started here, but we're not too far in. The OOC contains some updates to what you see here too.
