Mystique walked up and check Fiona in then sat own to wait. Soon they were called inside to Dr Herrick's office. It was large and roomy. Various pictures of various creatures' anatomy and skeletons. Mystique walked over to where the certificates were hanging on the wall.

Dr Herrick soon came in. He was tall, dark hair with a bit of silver streaked through his hair.
"Hello, one and all. I'm Dr Herrick. Please feel free to sit or look about. I will freely answer any questions that you may have."

Fiona look at him then moved over towards Mystique. Mystique smiled at Fiona and sat down next to her.
"This is Fiona and I am her mother, Mystique Stephanwolfe. loan Gheorghescu is a good friend of ours."

"I don't have a good feeling with this guy," Ioan said via telepathy. "Good doctors don't ask you whether you have questions in the beginning. Instead, they are the ones who ask questions."

Two things, loan. What Naureene's baby? I don't think that Fiona likes him.Plus how do I tell him that I am just investigating various doctors?

"Here you go...." Dr Herrick handed the x-rays back.
"Is there something wrong?"

"I just don't feel that you are the doctor for us. Thank you for your time." Mystique spoke as she placed the x-rays back in the briefcase.

"I see.... If you change your mind, I will be here. It was nice to meet you." Dr Herrick spoke with some concern.
"I will let you know one thing, I don't think that Fiona is a pure selkie. Nor is the baby. There is mer-blood in the baby. Find out who the father is. " he stood up and open the door.

Mystique stood up and motioned for Fiona to go and followed closely behind.

I wonder if there is any possibility of me adopting the baby is what I am wondering. I want the baby, loan. How do I go about adopting an unborn baby? Mystique asked seriously.

Will the baby live with us, Mommy? Fiona asked with a smile.

Yes, that is what I am planning, dear. loan? Mystique spoke mentally.

Please take me to the hospital, loan. Would you know which one it is? Please help me adopt the baby. I am sure that the others wouldn't let the baby go to just anyone. Count Dracula, would it bother you if I adopt Naureene's baby since she is in a coma and brain dead? What about your father, Mihnea or Toma? Will they mind?

"Babies are wonderful," Dracula said with a smile. "I wouldn't mind living together with one, and I don't think that the others would mind it. Especially not my father. Despite suffering, he doesn't really mind anything."

Then there would be no problem in bringing the baby home. Now I need to get the custody of the baby. I don't care if it is a boy or girl. It is going to be adopted by me if I have any say. Sean already signed off. I don't know if Cassie did yesterday or not. loan is going to take us there. Fiona. do you want to go or not to the hospital?

Yes, Mommy. I want to go. Maybe there will be twins.

Don't get your hopes up about twins but if it is twins, I want both of them. loan?

Mystique looked at loan over Fiona's head in a curious manner as if to say something but decided not to yet.

"Let's go inside and find where Naureene is. Since I am in the process of adopting Fiona it should not be hard to add the little one." Mystique said.

"I still think that there are two of them. A boy and a girl." Fiona spoke decidedly.

"We don't always get what we want, Fiona so please do not get your hopes up too high.' Mystique spoke softly as she petted Fiona's hair.

And if the baby is developed to be older than then just made? What if it is fully developed and looks like it is about four months? She did not say anything to me but she was pretty grumpy.
