Name: Tenzen Gushisae Age: 19 Animal: Andrias Japonicus (Giant Japanese salamander) Appearance: I honestly cannot find one, so I will have to explain his looks. Tenzen is a slender man that seemed more like an old man. His back is arched and his body is wrinkled. The entirety of his body is silky and a dark purple. His eyes are beady and his mouth is wide. His body is drapped over in a raggedy old brown cloth similar to that of a Tibetan monk's garb. He sometimes wheres small specticals usually carries two rugsacks over his huanch. His feet are covered in cloth. Apprentice to Master...: N/A, his potential was realized by mantis however. Fighting Style: Though it is clearly a mixture of real life akido, thai chi and fut gar, Tenzen does not call it that. Tentez has decided to call this style the river's walts. It consist of movement similar to southern fist and lost tracking fist where the user seems to move awkwardly and with no real rhythm or rhythm, while using this to get to less defended or dependable areas. This style also focuses on redirecting focus, energy and movement both in themselves and others. This style's greatest weakness is relying on others to be predictable enough to counter with ease. Grabbing, joint locks, and sweeps are very common in this style. It is clearly an internal fighting style. History: Tenzen has always been a rather disciplined child. He and his father trained to catch fish with their hands since they he was young, and this improved him in almost everyday. Standing in the cold water strengthened his will power, and the rushing current made his body strong. Catching the fish taught him patients, and he learned his own technique as each fisher did. One day, when a group threatened those of his village, he watched in awe as the furious five saved the day. He watched them fight back the bandits with ease, and he noticed that each one of them did the same thing as he did. Strengthen their body and mind, enhance their instincts and create their own technique to use in combat. He too wished to something like this, kung fu seemed so flashy and amazing. While they where still in town, being celebrated, Tenzen rushed through his chores to meet them. Unfortunately, he was not quick enough. They where out of line of his voice and could not here them call to him. Tenzen feared for the worst, that his last ticket to the world of martial arts was long gone. Fortunately for him, he was a disciplined boy. While catching fish reluctantly two days later, a beggar asked him to show him how he did so only using his hands. Tenzen was more than happy to explain, and in doing so, the beggar helped him realize this was similar to a fight. To find the next spot a fish would be in and spooking it right into place in his hand was very impressive. With this new knowledge he gained a new outlook on things. After that, every day he would train, using what he saw from a nearby martial arts temple and everything he remembered from the battle. He noticed his body helped him fight similar to the viper, mantis and panda of the group. He perfected his fighting style rather quickly, as he helped defend his home from bandits who thought they where still with enough forces to fight. Satisfied with his work, he would then go off to find those warriors he met and prove to them he was a great warrior. Tenzen searched for a very long time, encountering new fighting styles that required new skills and techniques to defeat, and learning from them as well. Finally, he found the masters in their element, or atleast one of them. After a whole year of searching, mantis revealed himself to tenzen. The salamander begged him to teach him, but mantis denied him and left him outside of the shack he was in. Tenzen did not leave, instead began to work to give mantis more time to train. HE caught fish for him, chopped wood, did all the work, learning from the bits and pieces of training he saw and implementing them into his style. He asked everyday for mantis to accept him, and every day he was ignored. Finally, he was training on his own one day and mantis watched from afar. It was a very unique style, one unlike what he had seen by others. Eagerly, the insect offered Tenzen a chance to be in the furious five, and he eagerly agreed. Weakness: Tenzen is somewhat slow. While so many others start fast and gradually get faster, he starts slow and becomes fast last second. This gives a slightly bigger time for people to counter. He is also not able to kill. He could never bring himself to kill another animal that isn't a fish. Misc: Tenzen's body is covered in a special oil he creates himself. It makes him very slippery, but also somewhat flammable.
