I was not sure when exactly we are starting in 1910, so I went on the safe side and kept it independent for now (but by 1911 it should be under Japanese control).

I am seriously reconsidering wether or not to move forward with this. On one hand, I have poured so much time and effort into discussing this and cresting this. On the other, everybody seems to have a vision of what the mechanics should be, but I have not heard but a word on how to pragmatically implement them. At first, I admit my original ideas did in fact need heavy refinement. I then presented the sheet. I first received approval from a trusted individual and then I posted it in the OP. Throughout this all, an individual had helped me greatly in determining certain traits of the game, however I felt then as I more strongly feel now that most interactions were or are arguments, and I began to feel under-appreciated, especially being the massive amount of work on my part that was required and that I was completing. I felt as though everybody wanted me to copy and paste (quite literally) the work of another artist in which I found serious flaws, and that the idea of something being the same was more important than the idea of accuracy. Regardless of the semantics of these claims, I began to feel that even though I conceded more and more ground, more was always expected and I never ended up pleasing anybody.

That is currently where I stand. I am unsure how to, and if I should at all, proceed with this. I cannot tolerate the current situation. I am willing to make changes, but very few pragmatic solutions were presented. The conversation shifted more to what the problems were and progress was slow.

The optimistic portion of me hopes we can put this behind us, but my pragmatic portion leans towards that somebody else may better carry this mantle. I have not resigned my position as of yet, but popular opinion will likely sway me. In any case, I wish no ill will upon my departure, if one should come to pass.

I am honestly fine with whatever mechanics or system you want to run. I've never understood it, never really had to understand it, and I don't really care about the minutiae of it all. Whatever you're comfortable with to keep the game running.

@Gaebrael Was the "trusted individual" you received approval from for the OP yourself, under a different name?

I'd be cool with playing WiR still, but not with armies that can only be divided down into three portions, and especially not when those armies 'respawn' when defeated. Maybe I could be less vitriolic when I bring things up, but I'm not going to stop trying to improve things just to avoid hurting feelings.
