Name: Maria Lupei (or so she's said)
Villain Name: The Undying Silence
Age: Medieval
Gender: Female
Appearance: See the below: Maria doesn't have the armour on. The underlying oufit's more or less the same, but it turns out that the leather isn't actually boots, leaving her barefoot. It's a somewhat understandable personality trait when you're unable to actually speak, though it seems to apply in general despite her other methods of communicating. Most people understandably do not want to speak with Maria, since she's gloomy enough to bring most people down. Though apathetic, she seems to generally move between trying to find some way to actually die, trying to find--or create--other people that could empathise with her situation, picking fights just for the excitement, and occasionally helping out with strong enough monsters because a blasted wasteland would be boring. When not busy finding some new way to be a problem, Maria seems to like volunteering to help children and often goes to church. Unsurprisingly, people often reject her attempts to volunteer.
Equipment: Maria's equipment boils down to, essentially, what she's wearing. The clothing is naturally just clothing, but the armour--even nowadays--ranks amongst the most durable materials to have ever been created, as does the sword. Through some strange mechanism (something that several scientists have longed to investigate... not that they can get it off her) all of her armament can condense into a single ring or back again as the mood takes her.
Abilities: The Undying: An ability that has gained some notorious discussion amongst fans of the supernatural, Maria's ability has sometimes been theorised to be an Esper ability that, in its highly specific way, could be compared to the Disintegrator. Others have assigned it to outside influence, and every now and then magic comes up. Regardless of its origin, the ability's effects are clear: she won't die. A few medical checks have concluded that, in every meaningful way, Maria is a literal corpse except when she particularly wants to use some function (like the digestive system). Despite this, she's quite clearly still functioning. It seems to extend beyond simply ignoring necessary functioning, as the knight will always pull herself together... literally. One way or another, her body and everything on it at her time of 'death' are linked. Whilst it might take time for the parts to dissolve, return to the main body, and reattach, they'll do so one way or another. Funnily enough, it makes more destructive methods of attack easier to heal, since they're already in parts--though nothing compares to just grabbing the removed part and sticking it where it belongs. The sole offensive application of this ability lies in ignoring every limit the body has. What does Maria care if her body tears itself to pieces with every movement? It'll be promptly fixed.
Skills: Maria claims to be the greatest swordsman to walk the Earth. Given her wealth of experience and a demonstrated ability to cut bullets out of the air in rapid succession, it's a claim worth some merit--it's incredibly rare that someone applying nothing more than horrifically developed athletic ability and a blade can rank in the upper echelons of supervillainy (or heroism). What's definitely not contested is her ability to write quickly. She won a race against a printer.
Brief Backstory: A long time ago, in a land far away (from the perspective of Japan), a young knight died and yet 'he' managed to continue acting over the years. Eventually, his sibling and imposter also died... yet at the same time kept going, still speaking to nobody. It wasn't long after that she acquired her current equipment, and for centuries she's been trying to find some meaning in apparently eternal life or trying to end it. Both of which are hard to reconcile with her religious beliefs, but she's got to do something.
