Well, I figured if we tried to make things happen at the same time as the events in the books, we weren't going to get anywhere - or, at the very least, there'd be contradictions to the canon. If disasters and old Gods are popping up on side of the world, it's hardly going to be likely it would occur on the the other side, at the same time.

Therefore, I've decided to make this an AU - so, the events in the books haven't occurred, nor will they.

The plot I've got in my head does bring in some Deities other than Nyx - however, Kalona won't be making an appearance, nor will any of the Cherokee myths. As our House of Night is located in the UK, the Deities I'm bringing forward are Anglo-Saxon ones; the majority of which are simply the Norse Gods with different names. A war is going to erupt between a few of them, and our House of Night will be pulled into the middle of it thanks to the acts of some of the Professor's there.

Like the books, the students - or rather, our characters - will be the main force, as they've been granted Affinities by Nyx.

There are a few bits a pieces I need to think through, but I have the basis of the plotline there.
