Hey-Hey, this looks neat. Any chance I could play just a hero that's unaffiliated for a while instead of a demigod? I wouldn't expect to get any actual benefits until I got a god to pump them up.


The problem with that is that we sometimes do timeskips of, what is it? A few hundred years? You need the immortality from being a hero to survive those turn timeskips. Beside as far as I know it, the only way of becoming a hero is through a God (or demi-god?).

@The Irish Tree Yeah, you can break your ties with your God (depending on the terms), but I don't think heroes can be made without a god.

That sounds like a fun idea; I did something similar in the last RP.

Unfortunately you'll have a bit of a wait before we can consider letting you join; we're still doing timeskips of thousands of years and have yet to even make intelligent life.

Feel free to hang out with us in the OOC for a while though!

And, I kinda figured. Did a bit of background reading before I posted. I've waited six months for an rp to pick the fuck up at one point, so this should be no issue for me.

Well, I guess I should have just asked if I could control a human then who could THEN be made a hero, but wutevs.

@The Irish Tree If you want a normal mortal, then we can arrange that - though I can't guarantee that he won't die, be killed or in some other way be completely mutilated, deformed, crippled, transformed etc. for he is at the mercy of some very Lovecraftian and batshit insane beings. Good luck.

In other news, your's won't be the only mortal! I've already been planning one of my own - so maybe they can weep at their miserable Fates together :D <-- Troll Grin

Hey @The Irish Tree, one way we could play it when we eventually make intelligent life is that a god makes you their hero, and then the Adversary convinces you to break away from said god.

I have no idea if your immortality'd carry over.

@HaelA place for souls to gather seems close to Reathos' whole deal. But a network of labyrinths making up the underworld; that I can do.

No. The closest thing we had to LovecraftIan was my Undasis/Kraken, and even he had only a very few Lovecraft traits (being an eldritch octopus is the chief among them )
