I'll take your intentions at your word. However, forgive me if I have a difficult time. All I can see is you jumping to the defense of your ally.

It is very fair to say there were miscommunications on both sides, and both of us suffered some comprehension lag. You have attempted to zero in on my perceived mistakes to alleviate the pressure from D, which is fine, but also probably not the most professional thing to do given your relation to him, and the fact this was being discussed between he and I, and you are no tournament officiator or judge. To try and tell me of my 'flaws' is not you trying to be 'fair', lets be honest here. Its an attempt at the basest form of deflection.
