ok will well basically SHadowhunter use things called runes to turn them invisible give himself nightvision, courage, better sight and the runes can be used for other stuff as well and they protect the humans from demons and also others things that humans are blind to because the shadowhunter world can not be seen my mundanes(human) unless they have the sight.
