Mistook your Original Post , it would be nice to know what magic would be not available as you make no mention of God nor  holy magic two prominent things in a fantasy genre Roleplay. As you mention that "Magic has many forms" it would nice to see more common one that has been disabled for the story's purposes. The gun however I can understand and stash for a latter date.

I will recreate a character then but you'll have to wait and sorry if my tone is a bit off, I'm a little bit sick
