As for everyone else's questions:
I would've liked to have a lot of control over the enemy Pokemon, but since I work so much during the week, that wouldn't be fair or practical for anyone. I ask that you don't do anything majorly OP like take out three enemies at once. I worked the numbers in the hopes that every avatar and Pokemon that wants to contribute could do so. It might be best if each fighter goes through a battle with one enemy, but that's just my opinion, and you can figure out something else as long as it's fair and realistic. Alternatively, members could co-op with another member, with each playing the other person's enemy NPC(s). Of course, I might step in and throw a curveball if/when I have time.
Since anyone might play the NPCs, I'll give some more background on them. Each Pokemon is at level 25. That would make the unevolved ones pretty similar to the avatars' fighting abilities, with the evolved ones being a tougher challenge. Each of the Pokemon have Self-Destruct (except Gourgeist, which has Explode) along with five other moves. They are trained to automatically blow up when their HP reaches about 1/4, so massive destruction can be done even if the Alliance is doomed to lose. Remember that one Pokemon is guarding each trainer. The Alliance members will try to flee if things turn south and have one more trick up their sleeves to do so. So, please don't outright annihilate them until they've had their chance.
While we're here talking about battle rules, I want to talk about character death. It is possible for Pokemon and avatars to die, but the damage must be well beyond the scope of a normal battle. Unless there is a major level difference, it would be very rare to accidentally kill a Pokemon or avatar in battle. Keep in mind that this is not a crazy video game world where killing is commonplace. Murder is a serious offense, and there may be legal or other consequences. I don't really expect anyone to let their PCs die until possibly near the very end, but it is a possibility. If your avatar dies, you may create another one without penalty. I'll applaud you for your dedication to plot and realistic battling. If this happens a second time, though, I'll give other people a chance to join the RP before letting you have another character. I know there are some people *ahem, my stepbrother* who constantly jump between character to character, and that's not what I want. Avatar death would be a HUGE deal, and it might have dire consequences to the world, depending on what the Pokemon represents.
As for the Power Plague, ThunderCrash was right. The Plague has mostly run its course in most civilized areas. It is practically eradicated in most of the mainland (Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh). It still exists as a minor threat in other regions (Unova, Kalos, Orre, etc.) and a moderate threat to outlying areas far from civilization. The virus has not died out, but rather, most Pokemon have already caught it and seem to be unable to catch it again.
If you have any more questions, just let me know. :)
