Domination, as they saw the galaxy as given to them by their gods. Extermination of species that did not suit them, or planets that did not bow to their whim. Also they saw technology as an abomination so worked on destroying all of it too. The Jedi themselves were also abominations due to their abilities.

It was just really well done. The story of the two characters takes point over the actual love story. It's not forced, it feels like a natural progression for the characters and it isn't over cheesified.

The Galactic Civil War is essentially from mere months after Palpatine takes control right up until the New Republic and Empire form an uneasy truce pre-Episode 7. It's a good old underdog/good guy story. Watch the Original Trilogy, it'll  key you in :P

I'm actually hoping they [i]don't[/i]. It's just a logical choice. I'd rather see them make their own new unique stories and while Revan is quickly being established as something that happened in the past of the Galaxy I'd quite like it to remain in the past.
