[@Diggerton] It's not 'acting a different way'; it's coming from a certain culture and then... having absolutely none of those cultural values and generally being their opposite for no reason. Take a typical dwarf, and then making them a teetotaller hippy who shaves and doesn't care about his people. Or the Drizzt clones.

Or badly written foreigners in series, who act like natives with a funny accent.
