[@CloseEnough] [@Crossfire] [@Sohtem] [@Gurren1] Shit. Crest swore internally as she saw the man draw a gun and proceed to shoot her dagger out of the air. Before she could apologize or say it was just on a reflex, the man had fired a second shot in her direction. She was vaguely aware of Reese moving towards her, but he was too late.. and she wasn't quick enough to dodge or draw her sword. The bullet hit Crest, right between her clavicle and shoulder of her un-wounded arm. She let out a string of curses as the pain radiated from the bullet wound to the rest of her body. She immediately placed pressure on the wound with her right hand, drawing her sword with her left hand. She put on a brave face as she stared defiantly in his direction, even though now she couldn't feel her legs at all, her face was pale, and her entire body was shaking. Not to mention the new wound was bleeding down her fingers and hand, and drops of blood were spattering the ground. Excellent. Considering she'd already been weak before this.. she wasn't going to stay standing much longer. Well.. it pretty much all her fault for throwing a knife.. which in hindsight felt a little stupid now that she thought about it. What the hell had she been thinking? The answer was, she hadn't been thinking at all. She'd just thrown a knife at him.. as if it was something she'd done before and it was going to solve her problems. The most a knife would be able to do was sink into his chest a little. THere was no way it would have been able to actually kill him. So what the heck had she thrown a knife for? She tried to think about it, but the pain in her head and her new wound on her shoulder were too much. "You're an ass." she stated as her vision started to swim. Her legs gave way and she was laying in the dirt, her hand fell away from her new wound and her sword clattered to the ground beside her. The sudden jolt of her body against the ground was enough to tear out the dental-floss stitches she'd administered to the wound on her head, causing the bandage she'd placed over top to slowly start turning red. awesome... her last thought before the darkness consumed her.
