[@PKMNB0Y]: Gold is in part due to her name(she's actually named after the Japanese Goldband Lily), and also due to gold's significance given she's technically magical tool. While Ayame's not an alchemist, lead into gold seemed like too good of a thing to tie in.

She could theoretically generate infinite gold bars, but it would probably be life-threatening for her to do so.
