I quite often have something in the background whether by coincidence or planned. If its a show that I have seen before it can be running (I rewatch shows so much that I can happily play them as background music). Though if I haven't seen it before I need to turn it off as it is too distracting, with music I don't have set pieces for a character but if I find something and go 'oh that is totally Colossus' I will use it.

I am a bigger fan of trailer and orchestral music anyway so it tends yo br that. One thing I have taken to playing for the Hulk is the music from 'The Incredible Hulk' which was pretty damn good.
