Somewhat standoffish and isolated, he chooses not to reveal too much about himself in an attempt to limit his personal relationships with other people. Values honor and respect above all else. Background/History: Dalton had been a knight of the kingdom for as long as he could remember. His father before him had also been a knight but recently lost his life on the battlefront. His mother had died of dysentery when he had been a young child, thus leaving his father to raise him. Because of this, Dalton knew nothing but militaristic values. Without the love and nurturing of a mother and his father being away at war for months at a time, Dalton had been forced to grow up fast for his age. He had been left to mostly fend for himself until he turned 16. Now of the age to begin his training, Dalton swore his oath to the kingdom and entered into knighthood. From then on, he was raised by his fellow knights-in-training, becoming a somewhat dysfunctional family for him. He greatly valued his comrades and they in turn respected him. His father was the Captain of the Royal Garrison but didn't show Dalton any more favor than the other knights. For this, Dalton respected his father even more but nevertheless quickly climbed in rank, earning his honor of his own accord. After his father's death, Dalton was promoted to take his place as the new Captain and the personal war adviser to the King. However, now that the kingdom had reached a state of peace with her neighboring kingdoms, his services as war adviser were no longer necessary. Because of this, the King had assigned Dalton to be the personal knight to the Chosen Princess. He was still required to train the troops and continue his tasks as Captain but he was now also required to attend the Princess during all her royal duties.
