Lyra giggled as she heard footsteps enter. The giggle was muffled but could still be heard by even those without keen ears. The pillows moved as she shifted in her hiding spot. Once Feoras uncovered her she giggled loudly and bounced into his lap, hugging him. "You are the best seeker Ba-Ba!" she claimed. After some moments her eyes wandered to the pretty mirror. "Ba-Ba? Can I play with the pretty mirror? Please?" The five year old turned on all of her cuteness. Ba-Ba sometimes let her do what she wanted when she was really really cute. She reached up to pet his ears. She always seemed fascinated by how his ears were different from her own, pointed instead of curved. Lyra laid her head on his chest, looking up at him with adoring eyes. "I love you Ba-Ba," she said. There was no scheme behind these words. She said them often to Feoras because they were true. It was the purest and most beautiful form of love : the love of a child.
