Breakfast had been skipped and Marcella had been too preoccupied for lunch. She hadn't eaten all day. "I owe you. I truly do," Marcella said as she finished her meal. She paused, her spoon tapping against the bottom of the empty bowl. "Although I should probably look into what I came here for originally. Do you know anything about the illness going around?"
