"Ugggh, why must you mention cigarettes? After that nice compliment I gave you no less." Moses groaned. This whole using the apocalypse as a reason to quit was not going well whatsoever especially with Liz constantly smoking around him. "Anyway lets roll on this. I'll go get my gear and meet at the gate."

He hadn't even moved from his spot yet when Jess' scream rang out throughout the school. "Shit!" He didn't waste any time and followed after Liz. They had to move fast, even a mere second could've been the difference between Jess living or dying and he was not going to let that happen. He moved so frantically he was practically jumping down the staircases to get to the teacher's garage. In his rush Moses misjudged the distance of his last jump and feet hit the ground wrong, tripping him up and sending him falling onto his side. Cursing under his breath he scrambled back onto his feet and ran the rest of the way to the garage. By the time he got there the immediate threat had already been dealt with, and Jess was on the ground having a breakdown and Nick 'consoling' her. Blood boiling and the adrenaline coursing through his veins, he walked over and sharply yanked Nick away from her. "Knock that shit off." He looked to the rest. "Now somebody tell me what the fuck happened?"

"I... I... I shot it a couple of weeks ago when I first found this" she said pointing to the bus. "But when me and Kyle were working in it, it well it tried to attack me. I tripped and fell, I'd have died if Kure hadn't saved me when he did." She turned and looked at Nick giving him a dead eye. "And you. If I wasn't such a mess right now I'd knock you flat on your ass, 'oh it's no big deal' I'd like to see you kill a walker with your bear hands with a head injury asshole"

Nicodemus merely smiled, unperturbed by her anger. "You switch gears easily I see. I can't really tell whether you know what you want or not. Anyway . . ."

Standing straight up, he dropped his crowbar are spread his arms in a wide, inviting gesture.

"Go on ahead. This gives you a chance to 'knock me flat on my ass' and give me head trauma to boot. Better make sure that head injury is actually debilitating though. It won't be much fun otherwise."

There was no hesitation in his voice, not even a hint of worry about whether she would do it or not. To be accurate, he didn't care if she did it or not. He was simply inviting her to do it, even looking bored while doing so.

"Oh you may also want to blindfold me, that way I get taken by surprise as well. Can't have you making excuses if I do actually manage to kill it without getting bit myself of course."

Alex could only chuckle when Liz included cigarettes in their shopping list but he couldn't care less. That was her personal need and so he would happily collect it. Or rather, he might get bludgeoned by that crowbar if he said no. The thought made him nervous. He may have a bat but he might lose to that person.

The scream made him tense and as soon as the others bolted through the doors, he followed suit. He imitated Moses's movement of jumping down the staircases, sometimes even sliding using the railing, but he managed to do it successfully having become nimble in his past times. He entered the bus and saw that everything was handled. Although the conflict between humans themselves weren't solved but the athlete decided to stay silent throughout it. Maybe he'd say something but he wouldn't worry about that yet.

After everyone had left, that left him on the roof by himself with only his thoughts to keep him company. He felt like it was one of the only places he could be alone. Sometimes he would even bring his sketchbook he found in one of the art rooms up to his post, so he could practice his drawings. Of course due to the current situation, there was always time to practice, but it was nice to have a place to escape from reality for a spell. Speaking of reality, he decided to check on the house he had been eyeing, as he picked up his rifle and looked through the scope. "Nothing" He said quietly. Maybe they packed up and left, or maybe they were dead, but whatever happened to them, they were not there anymore. Not a few minutes later, he heard a loud scream come from inside of the school that made him jump. "Shit!" He said, he jumped up as fast as he could, grabbed his rifle, and dashed towards where the scream came from. The scream sounded like it came from the teacher's garage, so that was where he headed, as he raced down the halls and shuffled quickly down the stairs. He could hear the others as he got closer all while trying not to fall as he made sharp turns around corners. He finally reached the door only to be greeted by the site of a zombie with its head caved in "What the hell's going on!? How did that thing get in here?!" He asked at the top of his voice while trying to catch his breath.

Hunter turned his head to see the others arriving at the garage, he sighed and took a few steps back before leaning his back against the school bus as he stared at the others making all the loud noises and it was possible for them to attract a few zombies as well. Hunter in the other hand just stood there while watching the others do what they were doing, but his guard was up and ready for any zombie attack.

"Hold on, What?!" Moses put himself between Jess and Nick. "You mean to tell me you shot this thing dead center weeks ago and it got back up?" To say that this new piece of information complicated things would be an understatement. "This... this complicates things." He furrowed his brow and sighed. "Scratch everything else. I need everybody into the cafeteria, we've got things to discuss. Let everybody else know."

With the other zombie's head looking like lasagne with teeth, he tossed the crowbar aside and took a look at his now completely blood soaked clothes before turning to Nick going on about reality to Jessica. Kyre always felt a sense of familiarity with the way Nick behaved, since it was so much like how he behaved when he first started getting to know the group. Kyre had the whole 'Come at me, I can take whatever you got, I'll even give you an advantage' thing going on. He would state the blunt truth of reality, he didn't even care for the feelings of the others. He still doesn't but he pretends he does if it makes them feel better. Kyre grew to control himself a little more once he began to trust them, but the insults and cruel little things he did in the past still don't exactly earn him their trust. He's pretty sure they wouldn't mind tossing him into a horde if it meant giving them time to escape, not that he'd mind anyway. The thought made him smile though since it sounded pretty funny.

He felt his shirt sticking to his skin uncomfortable, he hopes he could change soon. The others just seemed to be stirring up more of a commotion as if they forgot that noise attracts zombies. He could see it on Hunter's face that he was thinking the same. "Look guys can we just... I dunno.... shut the fuck up for a minute? Just saying." he was pretty sure they weren't paying attention to him anyway so he just crossed his arms looking insulted. Moses seemed to realize the seriousness in the fact that the zombies apparently could come back to life a second time, commanding them to all meet in the cafeteria. Kyre audibly groaned at the thought of a second meeting as if one a day wasn't enough. "Okay, okay, maybe it just has something to do with like perhaps the brain stem or something. Maybe a simple hole in the head won't actually do it. I mean it HAS to be the brain so it can't be that complicated." he obviously thought it wasn't going to be THAT big a deal, not so much as to warrant another get-together. "Look I'd rather continue working on the bus, we want to get out of here as soon as possible and we want to be ready. So if you don't mind, I'd rather stay here and rip out seats than go have a therapy session." he was hoping the boss would let him go on this one since Kyre didn't really pay much attention to his lectures anyway, but he expects more a scolding in response instead of an 'okay'.

"Ain't no therapy session we're going to get the hell outta here and things got be discussed for that to happen. Unfortunately our time table has now gone up which means more shit has to get done in a less amount of time so plans gotta be changed.." Moses shot at Kyre. He removed his lighter out of his jacket pocket and instinctively reached for a pack of cigarettes that wasn't there, instead touching his crumpled up pack of gum. Frowning, he put the lighter back and replaced it with a piece of gum. "But you have point. We need this bus done ASAP. How long till you have it done?"

When Jane heard the scream, every ounce of color draining from her face. Jess. She had known her as well as everyone else on the team. Even if that wasn't a lot, they were the only people she knew now. Jane felt her mind slip out of her skull, as if it had decided to take a step back and watch what the body would do without a brain to control it. The answer was not pretty. At first, Jane simply stood there, frozen, like a statue. Jane felt so detached from her body, unable to control it, only able to watch what it did. This had always happened, even before the outbreak. A doctor had said it was some sort of defense mechanism against fear. Some sort of selective depersonalization they had called it. Whatever it was, it happened when Jane was absolutely terrified. Not the standing up and talking to the class kind of terrified. The kind of fear you get when you're getting attacked, or are being chased, or sometimes...when you hear a scream. That had been what caused it to activate this time. After about a minute, she broke her frozen state and threw herself towards the edge of the roof. Her body stayed on the roof, while her head poked off and was gazing at the ground, several feet below. Right then her mouth opened and puke spilled to the ground. Not much, due to her lack of food and water, but a little, about how much could fit in small water bottle. She lifted her head back up, resting it on the edge of the roof. Her vision was hazy, but she could definitely see a few moving blurs in front of a much bigger yellow blur. She silently watched them, mouth open agape, eyes droopy.

Nikki kept swinging and she couldn't remember a time when the sword ever felt this heavy. She saw the school up ahead and ran as fast as she could. There were a few walkers outside the gate and she looked for another way in. She saw a car close to the fence and for a split second she regretted wearing her spiked boots. This was going to hurt her heels. She ran top speed right up the car's backend and did a roundoff right over the fence and into the schoolyard. She landed it and looked around, she lay there for just a moment and then got up to her feet and headed for the front door.

Sneaking in she looked to see if there were any walkers in the immediate vicinity. She stopped and listened. She heard voices that seemed to be coming from the cafeteria.

"I've got one row of seats taken out already, the other shouldn't take me too long. Jessica wants those metal sheets welded onto it for some kind of armour but that could take a lot of time and I don't think it'll be worth it in the short term. Long term maybe, short term no. All I know is I should have it prepared before the afternoon. It needs gas though which means we'll have to grab that at some point." he skipped over and hopped into the bus and looked out one of the broken windows at the group, "She wants to turn it into a mobile base which means we need something to cover these broken windows with to deal with the weather." he then lowered down slightly, his face only visible from the nose up, eyebrows furrowed in what is most likely a pout. "She also said I'm not driving even though I wanna..." Kyre may be a little crazy behind the wheel when it was just his life to worry about, but he DID take a defensive driving course, for the better safety of the group he'd rather drive than trust any of these guys behind the wheel. He's got far more confidence in himself than the others.

Hunter stared at the others for a bit and then towards the boss of the group as he began to speak about having a meeting at the cafeteria but thankfully Kyre was smart enough to convince the leader that they should be working on the bus instead of going over there to have some group meeting. It was stupid and they were obviously wasting a lot of times. "Well, I don't know much about fixing buses and shit.. so I'm just going to go over there and keep a look out on zombies..." he scoffed before walking away from the group but not too far as he scanned the area for any zombies approaching.

Jess just eyed Nick "Watch your back asshole" she said shoving past him to get to the others. "The only real thing keeping this thing from moving is gas. I'm pretty sure there's a gas station a few blocks away near the mall. If we could just get a couple of cans of it we might be able to get out of here tonight." She grabbed the welding torch off the bench and went to get started "well don't just stand there. There's some gas cans in the back grab them and let's get some gas!"

"We can maybe grab those gas cans after we get the medicines..." Alexander said out loud but he was really just thinking about it. "We need to get all the supplies in here too before we leave." He continued to say but he wasn't really saying it to anyone. It was more like he was talking to himself and trying to balance the time periods. Although it wasn't necessarily his job, he just decides that it would be better for him to see the smaller picture before moving on to the bigger one. Right now, the big one was getting out of here, the smaller one was its preparation.

But he didn't seem to notice that he said any of those out loud before he left his position to head towards where they kept the supplies to count how long it will last them. They were going out again later in the day so he might as well try to count how many they'll need. If they're going out tonight, they would at least need another week's worth of supplies before they move out. Then there were the gas cans. Ah, they'd need to mobilize a bigger force for that.

Before he left though, a smile was on his face as he thought about it. "Another mass scavenging mission." He muttered to himself. The thought excited him. It meant that all scavengers, scouts and potential fighters would go out and start collecting what they need. He remembered them doing it when they ran low on supplies before.

Nikki worked her way to the cafeteria to find it empty. She went further down the hall and realized the voices were coming from the teacher's garage. She made her way through the hallways and down the stairs to the garage. Once inside she was certain that she was in the right place. She saw the bus. It was obviously being prepared for a trip. There were several other students in the room who were talking and or working on the bus.

"Is that all it needs? Just gas?" Nikki walked towards the group who of course jumped and became nervous. She recognized a couple of them Moses, Jessica and Nic were by the bus.

"Ooh, scary," said Nicodemus, head leaning back in mock fear. Really, she was a funny girl. Frightened one moment, threatening the next. The only problem was that it was difficult to feel threatened when one's vulnerable side was laid bare, open for the world to see. To Nick, her words were as hollow as the bus's fuel tank. "In the meantime, I'll work on getting the gas you need. The sooner we're out of here the better, right?" he said, obviously echoing her earlier pleas of wanting to get away, and go home.

Picking up his crowbar from the floor, he gave it a little twirl before stepping out of the shed. He turned to Alexander, giving him a level look. "I'll be scavenging the east side of here, near the penitentiary, you?" He figured it would be better to be clear where he was going to be searching, to avoid any muck-ups and to widen their area of search.

"Heading towards the pharmacy area, that's what we planned on doing. Seems like a good idea." Alexander replied as he looked at Nick. "Might have to fly solo though but I don't mind." It wasn't a bright idea considering all the zombies that are present in the apartment area which he'll have to go through to reach the area where the pharmacy was located. Seemed like a challenge and Alexander was more than willing to do it. He could just use the alleyways that he has been using ever since he transferred here to get to his destination without getting harmed.

But help would be quite appreciated. He didn't say that out loud though. "Good luck out there then Nick. Ain't going with anyone?" He asked. Knowing the guy, he might openly refuse anyone who tried to extend their help to him but Alexander was just making sure.

Moses raised an eyebrow at Nikki, finally remembering she had been out. "Hey, where you been off to?" He leaned against the nearby wall shaking his head. They had much bigger concerns right now. "Nevermind that. Yeah according to these two." He pointed to Kyre and Jess. "All she needs is gas and we're good to go." He shrugged. "we still have a lot of other things to grab before we can even entertain the idea of going mobile though."

"I checked a couple streets over in the ritzy subdivision the last few days. I made out too. There is more so we need to go back." She dumped out her knapsack and there were snacks, toothpaste a 6-pack of new toothbrushes, Beef sticks and other assorted food, Listerine, Oxycontin, Ibuprofen, Aspirin, cough medicine and other misc.

"I went through 5 of the houses and put things in boxes and bags. Problem is we need either a lot of people to carry it back or we need wheels. There were some cars there too but I didn't know how to get the car through the gate without bringing in the dead and you not knowing what I was doing."

Nikki grinned, "Not too shabby if I do say so myself."
