I'm working on the population numbers for the trolls and for Bet Aybar, and realized that while each troll is like a squad of troops in and of himself, I still needed a waaaay higher population to match Scalethein's millions. For instance, just doing simple math on the Roman Empire's peak population of 45 million in the 2nd century CE and the peak army size of 450,000 (mostly auxiliaries) in 211 under Diocletian; if there are 3 million people in Bet Aybar, the standing army is about 72,000. 

So an army of 500 trolls out of a population of 8000 makes sense, but 18,000 trollspawn warriors should really come from a population around 300,000 - less if they are "barbarian" type clans. So I'm going to make an executive call and increase the population of both trolls and their ratio to trollspawn (while keeping in mind that trolls are kind of 20-foot badass mofos and need lots of munchies) over the next century.
