As she sighed and relaxed, she couldn't help but notice the incessant beeping coming from outside her door. It had started slow and faint, but had risen in volume ever since she'd returned.

"What the hell...?"

Else stood and went to the door, peering out the peephole.

"Hello...?"

Then her hand slowly and cautiously reached for the door handle and turned it, pulling it open.
