"I don't wish to keep your father waiting." She kept saying that. His father was probably in the car praying an Akathist for all he cared... Although, to be honest, he really wanted to get out the bookstore, too. Aleksandr glanced over at her employees and grabbed hold of the wheelchair's handles in order to push it towards the door. As he wheeled Sylvia through the bookstore he tried to avoid eye contact with her employees. When he reached the door, he carefully opened it, hearing the bell chime, "Are you ready?" he asked. The weather outside crackled. Aleksandr could feel the chilly air trying to get into the bookstore. Without waiting for Sylvia's reply he turned the wheelchair and raced it down the pathway to the car. When he reached the car, he opened the passenger door and quickly picked Sylvia up and placed her into the passenger seat, shutting the door rather abruptly. He turned to face the wheelchair and folded it. He picked it up and hurriedly put it in the boot of the Toyota. He swung around the car and slid into the backseat, soak and wet. He let out a small breath, feeling successful. Father Seraphim was about to make a comment such as, "Well, that took long enough," but he refrained. It would not be a wise comment. Instead, he opted for a question with a more obvious answer, "Did you get everything that you needed?" He looked at Sylvia, a warm smile on his face. [@Arista]
