Also I really don't want a characters whose job it is to be a psychopath who just kills. I want more depth and personality to them, your first character actually has lot of that along with the mystery surrounding them.

Right. My main thing for him was more to be a free agent than anything. If he's out he's out though. No use fussing over it.
