The question has been asked, and I get the feeling everyone's envisioning a different scene, so here's a long-overdue, really crappy map!

Essentially there's a stairwell going up, and there's a separate stairwell going down, and you have to go through the cafeteria to get to the door that leads outside (where all the Grit are clamoring to get in).
