With harsh eyes, Kaelin surveyed the gathering of folks around her, knowing that even though they had a common goal every separate group here was now an enemy. Steeling herself against thoughts of failure, she brushed her hand against her side where one of her daggers lay for reassurance, then turned to look at Jax. 

"I suppose, though I'm still giving you the chance to turn back. I [i]have[/i] to make this quest, but after everything you've done for this city and the Empire you deserve a little rest!" Kaelin huffed, sure that her argument would once again be waved away. When the calls for the quest first arose, Kaelin fully planned to do it on her own. She hadn't accounted for Jax wanting to come along as well.
