If a man or woman wishes to become a sorcerer, they must either be a sorcerer's apprentice for three years or, if they have a high enough aptitude, spend 5 summers in a summer-long camp for a limited amount of magic users, Camp Solstice.
There are five tribes in this camp. There was Fire, Wind, Rock, Water, Lightning, Ice, Light, and then there was the unknown tribe that had been long since spoken about that was the Darkness Tribe.... But none of the children had ever heard anything about it from the teaching Sorcerers.
Teenagers from all different places came to this camp to be able to bypass apprenticeship. Magic for students was only allowed at the camp and at home as long as they did not use magic on others, either sorcerer or bystander. So the long bus ride to get up to the mountain took a whole 3 hours. Where adolescents of all tribes would have to sit together and not let a single spat turn into a battle to the death.
But unknownst to teaching sorcerers of Wind, Rock, Water, Ice, and Light, two of the other tribes had a plan afoot. A very massacre involved plan. Why should they not expose the world to their power? How could they let anyone control them when they had all the power in the world? The humans were ordinary weak creatures, how come they had a hold on the ones with real power?
But who would have thought the betraying tribes would be able to poison most of Ice, Wind, and Light? Wind's head sorcerer was out, along with over half of their children, but a handful were out on a trip with some of the Rock tribe. Ice and Light weren't so lucky, the poison left them in a sleep state that no one knew if they would ever wake up from. How had the fire and lightning tribes been able to pull this off if they didn't deal in potions?
And so a battle of Camp Solstice was to take place. If the betrayers were to win, they would go with their protege children and take over the head council. If the other tribes won, they could take back the children and set their minds straight.
This RP will take place at Camp Solstice and will start right before they arrive at the Camp by bus. There will need to be the same amount of bad characters as good characters, so do your best to keep the balance. You may not be a member of the Light, or Ice tribes unless you PM me and have a seriously good argument of how they didn't get poisoned. Darkness Tribe is out of the question, obviously it's just an old wives tale...
As a sorcerer, or a sorcerer-in-training, you will have the basics of your magic class down, but you will also specialize in a certain power of that class. Each tribe represents a class.
ADDED: A camp hand is someone who is older than 18 and has finished high school. They have to have been in the camp prior as a camper for at least two years. These sorcerer's belong to no tribe and are not allowed to give special treatment. They mostly do the grunt work at the camp including lifting and cooking.
Important Note: This does not have a set influence by anything, but there will be no series canon characters.

All tribes can use their elements magic except for light, which uses healing instead. A basic power specialized power has been added to each tribe. If you would like to suggest a power for your character or tribe, please ask me in OOC!
