As the kitchen and dining room grew ever more crowded, Al sighed to himself. Ignored, he was, the others too attentive to their own conversations. T'was an odd feeling for the magician, as he was very much accustomed to being on the center stage and having the world's undivided attention whilst he dazzled them all with his - to toot his own horn - amazing talents. Even Kor, the resident alien and usually the one who would at least humor Al's self-centered ways, instead was busy insisting that everyone try his cake batter. That, Al immediately decided, had bad idea written all over it. Too many times did the others, himself included, make the mistake of trying Kor's cooking only to end up paying for it in the bathroom later on. As if being saved by divine intervention, the alarms went off, this time for an actual emergency. With a great weight lifted from his shoulders, Al stood to his feet and, able to retain his encouraging attitude toward Kor, said with a frown, "Well, damn it all. Looks like we'll have to try that cake another time." he even patted Kor's shoulder to really sell his sympathetic act, "But, duty calls, and who am I to deny my audience the wonder and splendor of my magnificence?" With that, Al gave a wave of his wand and spoke an incantation he had recently invented for himself, "Emitwohs s'ti, pu tius!" with his backward proclamation, his clothes gave a bright glow that suddenly completely enveloped the mage. Once faded, Al was now in his magical attire, his previous outfit now adorning the mannequin in his room, since his spell had essentially swapped the outfits. A rather convenient spell it was, too, since Al no longer had to worry about taking the time to painstakingly adorn his suit, which was quite a meticulous task since manually putting on a suit like Al's required one to be very careful not to induce a wrinkle somewhere since such a mistake would blemish an otherwise handsome attire. "Let the opening act begin!" said Al, even taking off his hat briefly to make a bow like a performer coming out on stage.
