Eliza rose an eyebrow while staring at Alex before her eyes widened as she quickly felt as if her heart sank all the way to the bottom and never came back up. Who was 'they' that he said that kept talking about? Was it one of the popular people? Probably, but he did recognize Alex he was basically one of the best baseball players in the school. It was pretty cool to see him playing baseball too, she always found that sport to be so entertaining but never got the chance to actually play it due to her having her training sessions back in the day. Eliza sighed as she cuffed a string of her hair behind her ear before crossing her arms over her chest, staring at the baseball famous player.

"They... who was they...? The whole school? The whole school spoke about me?"

Her cheeks turned slightly pink from embarrassment of hearing something like that coming out from one of the popular people's mouth.

Oh god, this is pretty embarrassing and I can't believe that people spoke about me behind my back.... I mean, I know they did that but I just don't want to be that girl as I was back in the day...

she frowned while thinking to herself before taking a few steps away from Alex. Eliza tried her best not to think of her past, and even Alex himself could see that she was getting uncomfortable and pretty embarrassed from what was said. She grabbed her scrungy from her hand before tying her hair up into a ponytail as she spoke but her voice seemed as if she was about to break out and cry, though she didn't because Eliza has grown to be a stronger woman than she was back in the past.

"Pft, yeah. I do know who you are now. Alex the famous baseball player in the school. Every girl had that crush on the athletic player. Not saying that I did have a crush on you because I really didn't. I just got entertained by the sport itself. Not that you know, I wanted to play it or anything but I always wanted to learn. Uh, anyways... do you have something to eat or drink?" Eliza asked while looking around the area, trying to change the subject quickly before he starts to ask her questions about her past.

"Nah, just some popular baseball idiots who can't stop blabbering." Alex replied. He didn't really like the others talking like that but he never cared enough to actually fight them. He never spoke to the subject itself so he never felt like defending or insulting her, after all, who was he to judge her, good or bad, when he hasn't even seen her? He then noticed that she was growing increasingly uncomfortable and embarrassed about the subject, something Alex didn't quite understand.

Her quick changing of subject was gladly taken by Alex. "You should've come to me and I would've helped 'ya. Klaus and Rev are the most famous though. I was just that underdog you know?" He said, seemingly underestimating himself, before nodding and then gesturing for her to come along. "Food and water's in the cafeteria as always. Electricity's still good so we store most of them in there." He continued. He then took out something from his pocket, the chocolate bar he managed to scavenge in the gas station. He then opened and took a bite off of it.

"You wanted someone like me, a girl who is always alone and had her hair all over the place and wasn't that good-looking to hangout with someone like you and the others? Hahahaha. You are so funny. I wasn't even accepted to the geeks club and they were more less-popular than I was. I don't think you or your friends would've 'helped' me as you say."

She'd say with a shrug as the two walked over to the cafeteria. Finally, there was some good news that she hasn't heard in forever, FOOD! It has been a while since Eliza has gotten a bite to eat and her water bottles were all gone as-well. As they made their way to the cafeteria, she'd notice Alex opening a chocolate bar which was also her favorite candy. Who doesn't love chocolate? A girl's special place in her heart. Eliza bit her bottom lips softly before poking Alex on his shoulder, as she said;

"Uh, can I get some? It has been a -while- since I have eaten chocolate... and those are my favorite kind of candy. You don't have to give me some but it doesn't bother to ask." she'd clear her throat while looking away from Alex, hoping that he had a heart to give some chocolate to the girl. Eliza looked around the school as they entered, finding everything to be out of place.. the halls weren't the same as before but at-least they were smart enough to stay in the school in-order to survive this awful world as it turned out to be.

"Ow. That actually hit a part of me." Alex muttered as Eliza countered what he said. "Never said anything about them helping you. I said I would help you train in baseball. One doesn't need to look good to do sports." The batter pointed out. What he said was true. If you had the physical body for it, then you're in. He then opened the door to the cafeteria by the time Eliza touched his shoulder to get his attention.

"Ah. Sure." He said before turning around and then giving her a bar of chocolate. "No problem really." He didn't mind sharing it. Yes, he liked chocolate but that didn't mean he had to be selfish. Once he gave her the chocolate, he would head straight inside the cafeteria before leading her to the storage. "You can have whatever you want but I'll have to stop you if it's too much. Can't have our supplies go down because of one person now can we?"

He shrugged the thought off and stepped inside. It was quiet inside, He had been doing this long enough to not take that at face value. He whistled loudly. "Dinner bell!" Just like that two zombies stumbled out from the room to the right of the door. He swung the axe at the one on the left, the blade slicing clean through it's neck and sending the head flying across the room. The second one was already on him before he could swing again and lunged at him. He held the axe handle in front of his chest to keep the zombie's arm away from him. The zombie gripped the handle, and the two of them began to grapple. Gritting his teeth he shoved the zombie away from him, his axe still in its hands. Quickly yanking his hammer from his belt he pushed the corpse to the ground and smashed the hammer into the zed's head was nothing but mush. Breathing a quick sigh of relief and standing back onto his feet he began to compose himself again. "Damn I'm getting rusty." He said with a small laugh to himself as he wiped the blood off of his face with his sleeve. Taking up his axe again he went about searching the rest of the house.

The kitchen proved to be a fruitful endeavor: six cans of food three boxes of cereal and some soda, some duct tape and tools, and some pretty sharp kitchen knives made it all in all a pretty decent score and he still hadn't searched the rest of the house. He loaded the stuff from the kitchen into some tote bags he had found in the pantry, pocketing one of the knives for himself. A scratching sound echoed from the basement door near the kitchen. He laid his axe to the side and pulled out the kitchen knife and walked towards the basement door. Deciding to throw caution to the wind he pushed open the door and brandished the knife ready to stab whatever was behind the door. Unfortunately for him, he was knocked over by something before he could do anything. Standing on top of him was a large doberman pinscher. The dog excitedly licked his face again seeming genuinely happy to see someone in what Moses could only guess was the first time since everything started. At the very least it wasn't trying to bite his throat out. He scratched behind the dog's ear and chuckled. "Nice to meet you too, but I need you to get off of me." He nudged the dog off of him and it stood close to him as he got back to his feet. Since the dog had come from there he figured the basement was probably zombie-free so he walked down the dog following close behind him.

The first thing Moses noticed in the basement was the smell. He was to floored by the smell to really wonder if it was the rotting corpse of the poor bastard who had blown his brains out with a shotgun to the right of the room or all of the areas where the dog had clearly been handling its business. "Oh fuck that's fou- Holy fuck..." The basement was filed with crates and shelves full of dry food and a large gun cabinet. Not taking his eyes off of the veritable treasure trove he was gazing upon he reached into his pocket for the radio Jess handed him earlier. "Um I don't know whose listening to this but I need some back up. I don't think I'm going to be able to carry all this shit by myself." The excitement in his voice was barely contained.

Eliza smirked while starting at the storage seeing every type of food and drink that they had saved. Of-course she wasn't really going to take all of them away because she wasn't that type of person but since he did offer her some food then why not take some? She'd smile while grabbing a peanut butter sand-which and a bottle of water. Her favorite. Eliza cut the chocolate in half, a piece for herself and another piece for Alex before opening the sand-which and placing that piece of chocolate inside the peanut-butter sand-which. Yep, this was the weird side that Eliza had but it tasted too good and didn't care what others would say about her now. "You should taste this. Chocolate peanut-butter sand-which. It's delicious." she'd smile to herself before walking over to Alex and placed the sand-which right in-front of his face so he'll take a bite. Eliza was the type of girl to offer people and help them whenever they were being nice to her, it was in her blood. At-least she found someone that she could talk too and already knew because being alone in this world was extremely terrible. "Come on, taste it. You'll thank me later." the sand-which wiggled right in-front of his face.

"Woah woah woah, Calm it down a minute. where are you and what have you got?" she asked. she turned back to Kyre and the other boy who had recently joined them. "Kyre if you've got a pack go get it. Kyle, i do hope you got a pack cause we gotta go out and pick up our guy from a scavenging mission. I'd let you stay here but since i dont got a clue who you are i dont trust you not to take our shit and leave. Kyre meet me us by the front gate when your ready"

Moses was talking a mile a minute, barely able to contain his excitement. "Jess I found guns, food, ammo, I think an entire drum of gasoline." He popped off the lid of the drum and smelled the contents which was definitely a more pleasant smell than the rest of the basement. "Yep definitely gasoline." He cackled excitedly. The dog barked excitedly next to him. "Oh and I found a dog!" This was the biggest break they had had since they took the school and that was enough to justify his excitement. "Oh yeah sorry I should probably should tell you where I am huh? I'm at that subdivision Nikki was talking about when we left, next block over from the entrance."

Oh some new kid turned up. bringing him with us cause i dont trust him to not steal our shit." she turned away from Kyle and tried to talk abit quieter. "I dont like him Moses. seems decent enough, but his legs fucked. says it was scavengers or raiders. i dont believe him. he might be bitten"

Moses leaned against the wall and pulled a two strips of beef jerky from one of the crates of food. He tossed one of the strips down to the dog and bit into the other one. "Good idea to bring him with you then. If he is bitten we don't need him turning inside the school keep an eye on him and be ready do what you have to if he is. I'll make my judgement on him when you guys get here."

"Ok, ill see you in a few. I think ill leave Kyre here to look after the place while we come to meet you." Jess grabbed her pack off the side and started to leave. "Kyre, Moses wants you to look after the place till we get back" she lied, in all fairness she just didnt want to make a problem due to the fact that she was leaving him behind but taking Kyle. "Work on the bus til i get back kay, wont be too long i hope." Jess turned and exited the building. she went back to where Kyle had scaled the fence. "Ok. From here on out, you do exactly as i say to avoid us both getting killed you got that?" she said to Kyle, getting ready to scale the fence behind her.

Kyle nodded, not going to retaliate. He was hurt, tired, and in a new environment. He lifted his pant leg over his ankle, revealing a bullet hole. His blood soaked sock covered his hand in blood. He groaned in pain, trying not to complain about it. He stood up, trying to see how much pressure he could put on it He rolled his pants leg down before awaiting further instruction from Jess.

@Varicke (didn't see your post my apologies)

Kyle turned to Kyre. "I came here from Spring Street. I was looking in an empty liquor store when I was..." Kyle stopped before continuing, feeling a sharp pain shoot up his leg as he put pressure on it. "...shot." He finished. He gulped, trying to take his mind off the pain. He then looked down at his utility belt. "I'm a plumber. Kinda. More of an all-around handyman. Electric work, technical work, building. Anything really." He answered.

Alex leaned on the counter as he watched Eliza start examining their supplies. He didn't mind and he was sure that Moses wouldn't mind either. He started fiddling with his bat once he grew bored of watching her, spinning it and stuff. But then her voice snapped him back to reality. Chocolate peanut butter sandwich? "Seems you are pretty weird." He said as he stared down at the sandwich being wiggled in front of him. He then took off his glove and then took the sandwich in his hands. He looked back at Eliza, an unsure look in his face. He took a deep breath before taking a bite of it.

He slowly chewed it, trying to find the taste in it. And when he did, it suddenly struck him. It did taste good and he didn't mind taking another bite but he knew that it would be disrespectful to someone who made it. Alex smiled at Eliza and then gave it back. "It's weird but... weird isn't necessarily bad right? Tastes delicious." He said, continuing his earlier thought. Once she took back the sandwich, he would put his gloves on again. "Thanks for that."

Nic closed his eyes and breathed in deep. The hordes were coming, and he was alone, surrounded, and allies would not be coming. His smile widened, the smile of a child let loose into an arcade and told that he was free to play however long he wanted. This was what he lived for - this thrill.

The supplies he had gathered were already bundled and thrown out of the building. It was a large cache, and he was sure that it would help them out in the long run. With that, the primary objective was complete, which meant nobody could fault him for having a little fun now.

He was inside the penitentiary, at the very entrance. Currently, vast hordes were swarming about, attracted by the sound, but having no specific direction to go to; after all, the sirens were built in and out of the building.

Looking around him, he made note of the different possible choke points. Hordes were easier to deal with when they came in one-by-one, so that was always the first thing he looked for. There were three that he made note of: one, the stairs, which was also close to a fire exit which doubled as a convenient escape route. Two, the bathrooms, probably a bad option given that there was little to no room to maneuver. Three, the entrance itself was a barricaded double door that only allowed for the zombie to either climb over or squeeze through the gaps.

Deciding to set up at the entrance, Nic welcomed his first of many guests with a grin.

It was a former riot policemen. Perfect.

Despite the difficulty of killing these annoyingly tough bastards, they did have one major weakness, namely that they couldn't move as well as others of their kind, due to the armor they wore. - which meant that they were even more clumsy and easier to trip.

Nic dealt with the first one by letting it approach him, then watch it trip and fall then stab it in the eye. That was really pathetic.

"One down, how many hundreds more to go," he chuckled.

His game of kill or be killed lasted an hour, an hour that quickly tested his stamina and endurance. Even for him, fighting off a horde of hundreds was a difficult task when they came continuously. Finally, after the sixty-seventh body fell, Nicodemus decided that he'd had enough fun for the day.

The only problem was, well, he was kinda surrounded.

"Woo-hoo-hoops," he said, smiling slightly. Apparently, the building wasn't as cleared as he thought, and the escape routes he had counted on were slowly but surely getting blocked out by sheer numbers. "Well, this is going to be difficult."

He was tired. More tired than he had predicted. It wasn't fatigue, not yet, but it could quickly come to that if he didn't act quickly and decisively. First, he needed to buy some time. Second, he needed a way to get past the encirclement of zombies he was under. Simple, but easier said than done.

Looking down, Nic found himself staring at the bodies he had piled up. Well, one body in particular. Nicodemus picked up and dragged a riot policeman's' body with him inside the bathroom. Once inside, the first thing he did was barricade the door with whatever he had on hand, before he stripped it down, cut up the body and coated his clothes and the armor in blood before putting it on.

Then, he walked out.

His gamble paid off, and his scent was covered up by the blood he was bathed in. Practically jogging through the stairs, Nicodemus made his way out through the fire exit, picked up the supply cache he had stashed away. Then he began looking for Nikki. Despite his general disregard for human life, he honestly hoped she was fine. In fact, he probably would feel that way for any on his team. If they died, they died, but in the meantime, he preferred them alive. Call it sentimentality or whatever, but that was how he felt plain and simple.

Nikki had been looking for Nic for over an hour before he came out of the fire exit door. She had been steadily taking down the dead while waiting.

She had to do a doubletake at first. He was smeared in blood and wearing riot police armor. Nikki let him get closer to her so the dead would be less likely to surround them. "I was beginning to think you were dead you crazy bastard!" She said hugging him.

"That the guns?" He nodded and she led him to the car which was at the top of the hill. They had to jam the bag of guns into the front seat and Nikki's side was still bleeding although much slower with the pressure on it. "Can you drive us back? I got cut pretty good on some glass on my side and I'm not feeling too hot right now."

She got into the car and put it in neutral and waited while he pushed the car to give it a little momentum. He didn't start the car until it almost stopped more than a mile past the penitentiary. At that point he gunned it, Nikki was pale and obviously not feeling well.

When they got back to the school Nikki got out and lopped off some heads and Nic drove through the gate while she closed it. She got back in and he drove the car around back where they would unload it.

Nikki got out of the car and went inside. "Hey! Anyone home? Guys I could use some help here." Nikki was on the verge of passing out from blood loss but she wasn't about to let anyone see that.

Eliza frowned while listening to Alex speak about her seeming weird but that had nothing to do with how she liked to eat chocolate with a peanut butter sand-which mixed up together! She smiled at him as if trying to not remember what he said about her before giving him a nod and taking a bite out of her sand-which, it tasted delicious. "I'm glad you like it." Eliza took another bite before hearing someone calling for help, quickly she placed the sand-which on the plate and ran to the voice noticing a girl walking up ahead in need of help. "What's going on? Are you alright?" Eliza asked but took a few steps away from the girl as she slowly drew her gun, not showing it out but just in-case this girl was indeed infected Eliza would shoot her without thinking it twice.

Spring street, liquor store, shot. He supposed it made a little sense. A wave of joy washed over him after hearing that Kyle was some sort of handyman. He remembered mentioning to the others a while back that they were going to need an engineer. Hopefully this guy can be trusted, he could prove highly useful.

Suddenly Jess' radio sounded, making Kyre jump a bit due to his heightened wariness with the newcomer. Moses' voice could be heard from the other end, either excitement or fear clearly evident in his voice. Upon being told to grab a pack to help bring the supplies back, he could only shrug his shoulders. "Don't have one of my own. Possible boxes to hold the supplies in are in the cafeteria locked away in the area where there's still zombies. I would however like to come and help in whatever way I can." He stood next to the bus placing his hands in his pockets.

After having a somewhat more private little discussion with Moses, she turned to him saying that the boss wanted him to stay and keep an eye on the place. The disappointment was very clear in his expression. He didn't really get a chance to complain before she and Kyle stepped out of the garage. Kyre crossed his arms, the blood that previously soaked his shirt from the zombie he'd beaten down was now dry and no longer sticking to him. He breathed harshly out his nose in a huff. "I'm starting to get really sick of listening to that guy..." He headed back into the bus, picking up his switchblade from the floor and proceeded to finish taking apart the last seat.

With all the seats taken out and a lot more space available inside of the bus, it was starting to look pretty damn good. Satisfied having done his part he was about to head outside to escape the confines of the garage before he heard somebody in the building yell out his name. He recognized the voice as Nikki's and couldn't help but audibly groan in reluctance to face another problem for the group considering how it sounded urgent. But much like in every other 'urgent' scenario the group has faced in the past, Kyre took his sweet ass time.

After a bit of wandering trying to locate where the sound came from, he entered the cafeteria to see Nikki and a couple of the others.

"One of you.... better be dying...."

As Nicodemus walked out the fire exit, he was surprised to find Nikki there lying in wait for him. The girl, surprisingly enough, hugged him. "Hahaha, you should know by now that it's impossible to kill me," he said with a grin. "Anyway, yeah, this is the stuff. Let's get a move on."

On their way back, Nicodemus noticed her expression. She was hurt, and losing blood. He 'tsked' and prepared a list of thing's he'd need when they got back. Of course, the girl herself was helping her situation by moving around and aggravating her wounds. Oh, and looks like there was a new girl in town. He'd introduce himself later. Right now he had more important things to deal with.

"Hey, whoa, calm down there firecracker," said Nic, grabbing Nikki by the shoulders, then he shot Eliza a thin smile, "and I don't know who you are, put that down before you hurt yourself," he said with a half-mocking, half-annoyed tone. Still, there was an approving look on his face; the new girl was cautious at least, so he couldn't begrudge her showing some force.

Sighing, Nic lifted Nikki in a bridal carry. "Honestly, worry about the supplies later; they aren't going anywhere, so fix yourself up first." Nic carried her towards the nearest bed, before grabbing his backpack and rummaging through it. He inspected her wounds calmly. Then shook his head and took out hooked needle, and doused it in alcohol.

"You're getting stitches," he said in a flat tone that didn't allow for any arguments. "Bite down, this'll sting a bit."
