Jainus watched as the last four of the grouped showed up. He recognized at least two of them, Eiko and Tristan. He’d worked with Tristan before… but he was much different then, the man who stood before him now was almost robotic. Jainus paid it no more attention as an odd pink...not like a natural pink, but a hot pink… skinned humanoid joined the group. Her face was hidden by a hood, but he could tell that, by the tone of her voice and her figure, she was quite an attractive woman. Jainus moved on with his thoughts to the young medic, who looked more like some sort of lanky giant. The kid was tall, thin as a rail and meek, nothing at all like Jainus, who was boisterous and loud. A few moments passed as Arya gave the briefing, leaving Jainus somewhat stunned for a moment before he spoke up. ”You mean to say that we are going to be stopping some ridiculous norse apocalypse? What is Thor going to hit us with his mighty hammer? Will we have to wrestled with a giant planet eating snake? Oh and are we going to have to fight off hordes of viking ghosts? Come on, this is bogus. You expect us to believe that ‘Ragnarok’ is coming? If some sort of universe ending event were to take place, it would have happened already.” Jainus spoke before scratching the tip of his nose, seeming disinterested in the mission, and more interested in the pink girl. Jainus watched Eve, waited for a reaction, wondering what she thought of the whole situation. He didn’t like unknown variables, and definitely did not like secrecy among his colleagues. Too many people here in the group liked to keep their feelings and intentions hidden,it wasn’t right. Hiding behind masks and hoods… It made him slightly uncomfortable, but that was the mission. Secrecy, covert ops… Jainus didn’t care for sneaking around, quick and dirty, the way any good job got done. In and out, quickly. Cause some havoc, blow some stuff up, create a distraction. Doesn’t need to be cloak and dagger all the time.
