John would definitely know that Mariska and Mordred are others, they both don't smell like food. He wouldn't know what types of Other you guys are but that doesn't really bother him. Since he is pretty keen on keeping his Otherness hidden John isn't one to pry on others. So yeah, unless it came/comes up he is going to keep it in the dark. But other than that being reasonably good friends sounds a nice place to start.
