Name: Erik Age: 32 Appearance: Erik has short muddy blonde hair and a ruddy complexion, with a broad nose and wide and honest (if a little course) features. He stands at six foot tall and is naturally barrel chested and noticeably muscular with a stout sort of look about him. His hands bear scorch scars and his face is adorned with a brownish blonde beard that gives him a fierce look only tempered by kind blue eyes. Personality: Erik’s personality would be most accurately likened to a bear, slow to anger but ferocious when enraged. To those who do not treat him well or those he does not respect he can be cold and brusque, however to those few who take the time to get to know him he can be funny and good company, for short periods of time. The one thing most who get to know Erik know is that he is a slave to his moods, and has been for as long as he’s been in Ambrosia. Ultimately a loyal friend and passionate man, Erik is not one to go about things in half measures, nor to shy away from a fight if he deems it worthwhile. Outside of his mood swings and somewhat rude manner Erik’s only other significant flaw is his distrust of Crystals and those associated, namely Mages and Magi-Tech. The hypocrisy of this stand-point had been pointed out in light of his choice of weapon, but it seems to have historic roots. Biography: Erik was not born in Ambrosia that much is clear. For certain he has lived in the city for the past five years, but before that he arrived at the gates worn and wounded with a scowl that has not left him. He had only the bag on his back and the hammer in his hands, no one has questioned him on his roots as of yet, though most assume he came from one of the towns on the far outskirts of Ambrosia’s territory, presumably one that fell upon hard times. Erik is incredibly short with anyone who asks him about his past, which is telling in itself. Whatever is known about Erik has been told by his overly talkative brother, Leif, over one too many pints of ale, who also lives in the city, though he arrived a year or so before Erik himself. Archtype: Engineer Specialization: Armourer Skills Driving (mid) Metal Working (Armour, High) Engineering (Weapons, mid) Engineering (Vehicles, mid) Jerry Rigging (Combat/Quick Repair Work, mid) Melee Fighting (Hand to Hand) Melee Fighting (Hammer/Blunt) Weapons: Magi-Tech Hammer, similar in essence to the Supersledge, Erik uses a unique weapon that resembles a massive sledge-hammer with a spike on one side and the flat on the other. It’s oversized but surprisingly light (though still unwieldly) and contains an air-crystal which lightens the weapon and both propels it with greater force and create a cushion of air that explodes on the flat, increasing the force of impacts. Erik also has a simple revolver, but he has never been a particularly good shot. Equipment and Gear: ‘Power Armour’: Erik is mostly concerned with armour in his line of work, be it for vehicles or people he deems it worth his time to create the toughest, most combat applicable pieces of attire possible. He wears one of his own designs, albeit it’s still in a proto-type stage. It resembles a very heavy set of plate armour of a squarish design with hydraulics on the legs and arms which react to the users movements, increasing the ease of movement in what would otherwise be an unwieldly chunk of metal. The downside is that the power for the armour is kept in a slightly vulnerable box on the back which can overheat with heavy use, however it is near impervious to small-arms fire and makes for an intimidating sight, which is often enough in his experience. Erik carries a fairly comprehensive tool kit out with him when he’s working, with all the essentials for Jerry Rigging and basic maintenance of vehicles and the like, not to mention fixing up broken weapons and armour.
