Ensign Tomimi Tanzi, AEUG Mobile Suit Pilot - MS-09R-2 Rick Dom II 'Debris'
29 y/o, 5'6", Long Black Hair, Brown Eyes

Tomimi Tanzi was born in the Autonomous Republic of Munzo in 0059 U.C. as the daughter of loyal followers of the famed Zeon Zum Deikun, leader of a newly formed resistance movement against the Earth Federation. Throughout her childhood, she was taught his theories and indoctrinated in the ideals of Side-ism and the theories of Newtypes. At any rally Zeon attended, Tomimi would have been in the crowd with her family, cheering him on with tears in their eyes. To them, this was the only freedom they could have from the corruption of the Earth Federation.

At the young age of nine, she was witness to the final speech of Zeon Zum Deikun, in which he collapsed over his lectern and began to die. For her, this was as major an incident as losing a family member. She was practically inconsolable for days on end after his death. When the rumor spread that he had been poisoned by the Earth Federation, her ideals only grew stronger and more radical. She understood before many others that the only way the Side's could achieve independence would be through force. And so, her allegiances switched to the newly governing Zabi family.

Much like she had done before with Zeon, Tomimi attended every rally of the Zabi family she could, amazed at how the ideals of the man she had been taught as being irreplaceable could be explained so clearly by this new force in Munzo. They had been selected by Zeon himself after all, so they must have been experts in his philosophies! They were refining it! And now they ruled Side 3, or as it was now known, the Principality of Zeon.

Tomimi's education and family life began to change quite rapidly. Her school was now governed by the Zabi family and all of a sudden, everyone around her was a staunch supporter of Zeon's ideals too. His philosophies were taught in class as part of standard education and due to her history, she found herself in high esteem among her peers and constantly receiving preferential treatment from her teachers. It all helped to solidify her beliefs even further. She was right all along! Zeon would change everything, even in death. Through the Zabi family, she would be there to witness how life changed for the better.

Her family however... This was her only problem in this new life. Her family for some reason could not trust the Zabi's. Despite everything they had done to prove themselves in changing Side 3 to meet Zeon's ideals, they simply couldn't accept Degwin Zabi as a successor. Barely a day went by without another hateful rumor about one member of the family or another. Before long, Tomimi was drifting from her family and simply couldn't bring herself to be around them. In 0076, her family was killed in an explosion with no known cause. Tomimi didn't take long to reach the conclusion that the explosion was caused by supporters of the Earth Federation. It was at the age of seventeen that she lied about her age to get into the military, giving herself a new home, a new life and a new purpose. It was clear that soon enough, war was going to break out between the Principality of Zeon and the Earth Federation. She wanted to be there on the front lines when it happened.

The One Year War was not kind to anyone, and Tomimi was lucky to have survived in one piece as she did. She moved about rapidly through the Zeon forces, from a Seamen to a Lieutenant towards the ending months of the war, and along with the ranks she went through a plethora of suits. From a Zaku I, to a Zaku II, and a brief but nearly disastrous stint in the MS-07B Gouf ( She still claims the suit is too light for her to handle properly. ), and finally into the Dom family. Towards the end of the war, with skilled pilots becoming a rarity, Tomimi was pulled from Earth operations to space, and given a Rick Dom II, to replace her ground-locked Dom and in preparation for the upcoming battle of A Baoa Qu, the decisive engagement of the War. During the ensuing battle, she was lucky to be clear of the line where Amuro Ray was engaged with the fabled Red Comet himself, and against the standard fare Jims and such, she helped hold the E Field with Col. Kuspen's combat battalion.

However, the result of the battle is a forgone conclusion, and so it comes as no shock to anyone that following the collapse of the Zeon forces, many of it's defenders fled into the reaches of space. Tomimi did this herself, making for her old home, Side 1, Colony 13. She ended up settling into hiding on one of the unfinished and decrepit colonies nearby, never finished as a result of the Earth Federations freeze on further colonial expansion, and it was here that she would wait. Until 0083 however, and the following years. With the outbreak of renewed rebellion and the colony drop by the Delaz Fleet, the TITANS came into being, hellbent on ripping Zeon remnants out violently. Tomimi was not immune to this drive, and she barely managed to evade a pursuing squad of newly made Hizacks in 0087. Alone and lost in space, it took her months before she turned up in Side 6, just as the AEUG was growing into a proper force.

Although her goals were different from theirs, Tomimi's view was that they shared enough in common to justify working together, and in 0088, she offered her services to the lingering Hawthorn, being granted command of a squadron of her own as a result of her ability at the controls of a mobile suit.

Chief Petty Officer Erina Vandam
AEUG Mobile Suit Pilot - RMS-106 Hizack “Phantom”
24 Years Old, 5’8’’, Mid-length Black hair, Brown eyes

Erina’s father was killed in action during the early weeks of One Year War. Driven to follow in his footsteps, she became a Federation cadet after the conflict settled. As a Mobile Suit pilot, she was stationed in reserve at the L4 colonies. Despite never seeing combat, her strong work ethic and quick thinking saw her promoted to Squad Leader. She despises Zeon for the violence they brought to Earth and is highly dismissive of their beliefs or motivations. However, the emerging oppression brought by the Titans was quite disgusting in its own right, with the events had Colony 30 becoming a breaking.

Feeling helpless at her post, she defected to the AEUG a soon as word of it reached her. She hopes that by fighting against injustice, she can help convince spacenoids that many within Federation do care for their basic rights as humans. Internally, she isn’t entirely sure she’s made the right choice. None of her squad-mates agreed with her decision and there is a part of her that would rather take revenge against any emerging Zeon forces.

Petty Officer Camilla Abel

AEUG Mobile Suit Pilot - MS-18E Kämpfer "Lancelot"
22 Years Old, 5’7", Wavy Blonde Hair, Blue Eyes.

Enveloped in the iron curtain of the Side 3 colonies, what lied beyond the opaque boundaries of her world was but a mystery to Camilla. More than anything, she yearned to see for herself the many stars that dotted the infinite cosmos with her own eyes. Perhaps for that petty reason alone, Camilla pledged her life and loyalty to the Axis Zeon as soon as she came of age, to see for herself the world outside of her home.

What she saw, was nothing but ceaseless bloodshed.

Her enemies would murder millions to keep themselves in power, while her allies would sacrifice anything just to cement a rule just as corrupt as the very people they are fighting against. This cycle would repeat ad infinitum, two factions of countless warriors, each blindly throwing away their lives, and for what? Discontent with the politics of war, the girl could feel no passion or sympathy for either side of the conflict. But never the less, Camilia's love for the cosmos did not waver.Even if that very thing she cherished so much had only ever been a battlefield, she would never have the heart to reject it. And thus, Camilla's love for the battle itself blossomed.

For Camilla, the emergence AEUG was a blessing: No longer will Camilla resort to fighting alongside what she considers as nothing but fanatical hypocrites, but for those she believed to understand true honor in a fight. And so, as soon as the opportunity presented itself, she defected against her former allies and offered her service to the AEUG. The passionate pilot is content to continue to fight among her beloved stars -- like the chivalrous knights of times past she admires -- as only in war, would Camilla be truly be at peace. Indeed, so long as Camilla sees space as a stage reserved for war and war alone, she could never denounce her love for an honorable quarrel.

Petty Officer Reyson McGillis
Spacenoid, AEUG Mobile Suit Pilot - RMS-179 GM II Custom , 'Chicken Run'
21 years old, 5'9ft

"I...just want to go home."

All Reyson desired was a quiet life. To live in Side 2 all his life. Unsociable and rather reserved, Reyson has troubles establishing meaningful bonds with other people. The type of person who rarely speaks his mind Reyson always believes in whoever is more confident and forceful to avoid any form of conflict. To that regard, he solely believed that the Principality of Zeon was wrong, easily taking in the reasoning of the Earth Federation to justify the oppression of spacenoids like him. In his mind, so long as they obeyed the Earth Federation and the Titans, he would have peace. No matter what he would not hesitate to give up anything to preserve his quiet life.

That would soon change. A sabotage attempt on Earth Federation assets within the Colony initiated a merciless manhunt for the perpetrators as the Titans arrested dozens of colonists under the charge of sedition. With the intention of using the event to intimidate and spread fear among the spacenoids within the colony, had it not been for a timely intervention by the AEUG, he would have been summarily executed for crimes against the federation. Knowing well that staying behind would entail certain death Reyson had no choice but to follow the liberated AEUG members.

It was there that he would reluctantly join to overthrow the corrupt Titans as returning now would only result in certain death. Although Reyson has shown aptitude for piloting Mobile suits, he is still one of the most half-hearted and inexperienced soldiers within the AEUG. Yet, he continues to dream of the peaceful life he left behind night after night, desiring to simply go back home.

Captain Levi Hishakawa
AEUG Navy Ship - Antietam-class auxiliary carrier Hawthorne
29 years old, 5'9", short black hair, blue eyes

Levi Hishakawa was born on the 3rd of January, UC 0059, and raised to an upper-middle class family on Side 2 as the oldest of three, with two younger sisters. His family was stable and unhindered and in turn, he led a fairly average normal life: he went to school, he spent time with his friends, he trained for a youth sports club twice a week and played every second Sunday; the most significant thing about his childhood was that his birthday fell close to New Years, so the two events often became one of the same.

Throughout elementary school and early middle school, Levi didn't pay school much note - for him, it was a necessary chore and he just went about it as he would. As he came to learn more about his family history and discovered the former military tradition among the men of the family to join the military that ended with his grandfather, he became inspired to join the Earth Federation Navy as an officer; to achieve this, he knuckled down in school and began to take it much more seriously which came to fruition within the year. He graduated from high school as an honor student.

With some tactful planning on his part, Levi was sent to Earth to study at the Earth Federation Military Academy to become a Naval Ensign, specifically as an Communication Operations Officer, a mere 3 and a half months after graduating from high school. He graduated with high marks 4 years later where he went on to the Navy School of Signals and Communications where he spent another year and a half before being posted aboard his first vessel, the Mackenzie, as a part of the bridge crew.

Levi went on to participate in a majority of the conflicts to follow in which the Earth Federation partook in. Whilst Levi didn't participate in the One Week Battle, knowing that a cylinder from side 2 was used in the colony drop on Sydney prompted him to come to loathe Zeon in all of its forms; it was at this point he began taking his career much more seriously and went from striving to do his part to striving for excellence

Levi went on to become an achieved naval officer during the Battle of Loum, where his applied communication skills played a significant part in the evacuation of civilians from Side 5 as well as maintaining clarity between Federation ships despite the ruthless Zeon assault. The Battle of Loum only cemented Levi's disdain for Zeon and inspired him to strive for more, so that he may one day become a name to fear among the Zeon Navy.

With a increasing calculating and pragmatic personality, as well as spending much less time with social interactions, Levi went on climb the ranks aboard ships of various postings where he would come to land as a Commander and the Executive Officer of the Meddings. The Captain, Deejay Zager, made a note of actively grooming Levi for becoming a Ship Captain with Zager's expected rise to Rear Admiral.

Only 2 months before it was predicted Levi would become a Captain, he suddenly consistently was reported AWOL and was later discovered as a defector to the AEUG. Having been initially inspired to make the most out of his career after Zeon used the colonies as a weapon, Titans actions in the Colony 30 incident triggered a chain of events that led to his defection. Now due to receive command of the Antietam-class auxiliary carrier Hawthorne and prepared to put his differences with former-Zeon soldiers aside, he's anxious to make his mark against The Titans.

Petty Officer Sara Valentine, AEUG Mobile Suit Pilot - RGM-79SP GM Sniper II 'Longshot'
29 y/o, 5'9", Short White Hair, Red Eyes

Sara Valentine had a fairly uneventful life growing up. Born on the colony of Baldur Bay in Side 6 in U.C. 0059, she developed a fascination with the military and its way of life around the time she became a teenager. An interest that her family disapproved of, which of course only made her want to look into the subject more. By the time she was 16 Sara had decided that she wanted to join the military, a real military, not the small self defense force that side 3 kept, or the forces of the Earth Federation who were taking less and less interest in keeping there military up to snuff as the years wore on. When she turned 18 in U.C. 0077, about a month after Side 6 became the short lived Riah Republic with backing from Zeon, Sara ran away from home to join what she considered the only military that was actually being adequately supported, that of the Principality of Zeon. She would later consider this, the worst decision she had made in her life.

She found she didn't have too much trouble being accepted, despite being a foreign national. Volunteers from the Riah Republic weren't too unheard off, mostly those who felt there nation should have severed all ties with the Earth Federation. After basic training she was moved around for few weeks, looking for her particular niche. It was when she was first put in the cockpit of a Zaku I that everything clicked, this was it, this was what she wanted to do. She took to operating a mobile suit like a fish to water, earning her wings quickly, and proving to be very capable pilot. Still despite her success, there were the small hints that she wasn't completely accepted by many of her fellow soldiers, that she shouldn't be hear because she wasn't a true born daughter of Zeon. Still she was happy, and felt a strong commitment to Zeon, that is until the One Year War.

The events that came to be known as the One Week Battle shook Sara to her very core, she had signed up to fight enemy soldiers sure. But starting a war with no warning, the gassing of colonies, the dropping of a colony on earth, it was to much for her. During her first sortie near the end of the One Week Battle, she went AWOL defecting to the Earth Federation.

To her surprise the Earth Federation treated her fairly well, after an interrogation, and a short period of verification, she quickly let into the ranks of there military. She spent the majority of the war, up until after Operation Odessa, with a small squad made up of some of the very few Zakus the Earth Federation had managed to capture. Evan afterwards as the Federation began to have an adequate supply of its own mobile suits, she was given a captured Zaku II, due to her familiarity with piloting Zakus. It was not until the tail end of the war that she was given an Earth Federation built mobile suit a GM Sniper II. Considered a higher end mobile suit then the standard GM, to her it was a symbol of the Earth Federation actually trusting her.

Sara stayed in the Earth Federation military after the end of the One Year War, but began to feel somewhat anxious. Slowly she began to realize that she actually missed seeing active combat, a fact that part of her took no small disgust in. Still with the war over, there was really nothing to make of it. That was until U.C. 0083 and the events of Operation Stardust. Jumping at the opportunity to see active combat once more, she quickly joined the newly formed Titans. She would later consider this, the other worst decision she had made in her life.

During her stay with the Titans, she was mostly given defensive and search and destroy missions against Zeon remnants. But as the months went by she began to notice what appeared to be a marked distrust in her fellow Titens, maybe it was the way she seemed to never be privy to the events of peacekeeping missions, or the fact that she was never offered a newer mobile suit despite her experience, but things seemed to be amiss.

The Colony 30 Incident was what finally did it, bringing back memories of the One Week Battle, she felt like she was in the same position as then, only this time there was no better side to defect to, at least not yet. So she kept her opinions to herself and soldiered on, grateful that she was never assigned a "peacekeeping" job, until U.C. 0086. When word of the newly formed AEUG reached her ears she took the first chance she had to defect, for the second time. Of course she was met with suspicion and hostility, but she was used to that by now, and she didn't need the AEUG to trust her in order to fight for them.

2 years later she now finds herself assigned to a squad in the last place she wants to be, her old home colony of Side 6.
