Kae huffed but kept silent. For the remainder of daylight the duo walked along the paths Kae pointed out. An hour to nightfall they came across a clearer part of the forest with limited underbrush and enough space to pitch a tent and start a fire. 

"Do you want to stop for now, or keep moving?" Kae was the first to break the silence that had befallen them.
