Alex
[sub]Lunch Time[/sub] Calculus? Piece of cake. PE? Even easier. What Alex couldn't deal with was Chemistry. He couldn't stand any sciences really. Only Math which he considered the only one true science. Even though it was the first day he despised the class. He couldn't wait for that bell to ring because as soon as it did he would be gone. He looked up at the clock and was ready to escape the confines of his never ending boredom. *3 ... 2 ... 1* The bell rang and Alex was out of there before anyone could say anything. He didn't want to deal with the rest of the class at the moment. Sure, he knew he eventually would have to, and he would, just not right now. He first made his way to his locker where he had hidden his lunch for the day. Then he started for his home away from home when not at his dorm or the Children's Hospital. Let's just call it his favorite location when it comes to the academic building. He arrived at the stairs making sure no one saw him and sneaked up to the top floor. He stepped over the yellow tape and past the newly reinforced walls to the door leading directly onto the roof. He reached for the handle and pushed, but of course it was locked. It always was. Only problem was it wasn't a very sturdy door. The hinges were not very secure so Alex could easily, and does, burst through the door causing the lock to bust. He always replaced the door and fixed the hinges appearance so that it looked as if the lock was what was being destroyed. Alex took a deep breathe and eyed his rooftop paradise. No one at all knew he was the one who came up here. No one probably suspected it was him. The faculty thought it was some delinquent although one could say Alex was being just that, but he didn't want to destroy the door. It was just in his way. He walked over to a make-shift bench of empty paint buckets and 2x4's he had set there during his first year. He sat down right at the fence and looked out over the top of the scene. Beautiful white snow everywhere. Sure it was a little chilly, but the view made up for it tenfold. He pulled a PB and J from his lunch bag an started eating and was thinking, *This might be a good year after all.*
