I'm going to just put this here for now if I don't go with the [sub]creepy merchant that knows everything about everyone[/sub] idea
Name: Io Nervald Caprixan Leneus Marx Murkveld Color: 9e0b0f Age: 18 Gender: Male Description: Almost always hidden under his coal-grey cloak, the only features readily apparent are his short and childish frame and his youthful gait; Io looks exactly as if he were in his preteens, if not younger. Io's dusky red hair reaches past his shoulders, his dull black eyes peeking out from underneath his bangs. His skin is a translucent white from constantly being in the shade of either his robes or the indoors. The faint smile that occasionally peeks out from under his hood practically chills the air. Occupation: A hunter and butcher, though he usually ends up spending more time inventing the dangerous devices that he hunts with. Bio: Io was a peculiar child, always keeping a certain distance between himself and others. His eerily calm demeanor frightened other children--not that he cared about that. Instead, Io usually locked himself away in his room, obsessing over ancient books he'd found in the dark corners of storerooms. Though he studied any type of book he found, Io was utterly fascinated with learning about how to break things: whether it was why sharp objects could cut anything if they were sharp enough or how much force it took to shatter something, Io felt compelled to learn about it. Though his parents were obviously concerned about this, they were happy that their son sounded excited talking about something, rather than not talking at all. One day, Io's father came home bearing good news: he'd gotten a better job that payed much more than before. With the newfound income, he decided to splurge a bit, and bought a slab of meat for them to have for dinner. His parents, who had beaming smiles on their faces, wished that they could eat a meal like that everyday. Looking at this, Io mumbled to himself "I see," as a faint, but visible smile of his own gently appeared on his otherwise lifeless face. The next day, Io set out to look for books on machinery--more specifically, clockwork. A few sleepless nights later, Io put on a dark cloak and headed towards the edge of the Oasis, where many hunters were gathered. Quietly walking past, he slipped out of the city and snuck up to a lone, nearby creature. By this time, the few people there had noticed Io and ran out to try and rescue him, but stopped when Io suddenly pitched an odd, head-sized brass sphere at the beast. After an audible "clunk!", the device suddenly twisted open, two whirling blades extending out and shredding apart the side of the animal before falling to the ground, out of energy. Pleased by the grisly scene, as he'd found something fun, Io turned to the nearby hunters and asked for them to help him bring the corpse back. Even as the butcher cut apart the good remains, Io watched intently with the same chill-inducing smile, learning how to dismantle the body and finding out which parts were good for eating so that he could do it himself. Fully invested in this, Io once again beset his parents with conflicting emotions on whether they should stop him or not. Possessions:
