 Hermes smirked at Hades. At least, he did at first. Hades' directness had always appealed to The Messenger's jittery nature. He generally didn't like beating around the bush, so to speak, at least not here. He didn't want to spend any more time in this realm than was absolutely required. Still, Hades' slightly off-putting manner made Hermes wonder if he might be wasting his time here.

The other god didn't seem very amused, so Hermes rose and spoke more quickly and formally, not wanting to raise his uncle's ire. There is to be a meeting soon, in about a tenday's time. The other Olympians gather at the Mountain. Zeus has something to say. Apparently, it's quite important. He's even requested you."[/color] Pointing out the rarity of Hades' invitation to Olympus wasn't meant to be an insult, merely a show of how important the occasion was.
