As a child she was always an overachiever academically, however, not from natural talent but from hours of vigorous study by her own will. She was often impressing teachers and parents alike with her everlasting hunger for knowledge and will to learn so it was not a surprise when she ended school top of her class. Despite the multitude of people prompting her to attend a higher ranked or more renowned university Anita wanted to stay close to her family and attended Millikin University as an off-campus student (a right granted to her as she lived with her parents). When she was 16 Anita started dating an old friend of hers, John Huber, and on her 18th birthday he proposed to her. Many claimed 18 was too young, however, neither Anita nor John's parents had a problem with the engagement and the pair were married only a month after Anita's 19th. It was quite soon after the pair's marriage Anita became prgnant and, a couple of months before her 20th, she gave birth to her first child, Austin Huber. At this stage the civil unrest was reaching Illinois and the streets failed to be safe at it was. Gangs formed and some would kidnap children and babies to raise to be one of them to aid their future children in survival. The first attack on the birth ward in the hospital happened and Austin was one of the victims. Distraught and uncontent with the danger that dwelled in their city the couple heard of a place in New York City they could find sanctuary and took to the roads. They went on short train trips and bus trips stopping at small towns, working at some places for money, never staying at one hotel for more than 2 nights. They were careful with their steps and did not hurry in moving from town to town. Each only took a large suitcase, a carried bag and Anita took her guitar. Their other possessions remain in storage yet if they are still there is uncertain. Eventually Anita fell pregnant yet again and with each day New York City was becoming closer and closer. 2 weeks ago the pair were so close. So close to New York City, Anita was now about 8 months pregnant and they were looking forward to reaching a sanctuary, somewhere safe to care for and raise their child. So much so they let their guard down just long enough for a successful attack upon them. John was murdered, their possessions taken. An off-duty policeman spotted the gang surrounding the dead man and his pregnant wife before they could kill her too and chased them off, killing a man in the process just after one stabbed Anita in the stomach. The man rushed Anita to a hospital where she was treated for her wounds and, luckily, survived, however, her unborn child did not.
Take note that due to Anita's failed pregnancy she is not as slim as she is in this picture as it was recent occurrence and her stomach still appears to be one of a woman about 4/5 months pregnant
