History: Born in western Russia, Alexei lived there until he was 6, when he and his parents migrated to first New York, then Chicago for better economic opportunities. He was quickly taught basic English, first by his parents, then later by his teachers as he progressed through school. He still continued to speak mainly Russian, however, so his English is still thickly accented. Despite this, he quickly discovered his talent with programming languages and computer coding, getting a couple tech certifications and a job working IT for a local company.
