Idea:
You are no bigger then a horse or no smaller then a mouse. Your special abilities are not aggressive. Other then these restrictions your imagination is the limit. The last of a mythic beast either due to "Heroes" or predators you live under the belief that you are the last of your kind. (Please be original) The world seems smaller. Humanoids clutter the surface and are too numerous to count. The world seems lost to them. They erect buildings and clear the land for resources. What is to become of you?

Idea: Anime life after school:
School is over and done with you are an adult with a career and a home located on the outer edge of the city. From the character back story many things can happen. The spirit of adventure (often in the form of a kitten) will take to to new locations . Is it a dream of your heart or something more?

Idea:
Amnesia. From the first post the story takes shape but the lines are vague at first. Only by continuing will the mystery be reviled. "At the end of life not every question is answered."
