Scattered as well, but called - something summoning each of these persons from varied walks and archetypes, given some of them are epic heroes to myths in the making, [@Cuddle Pot]. I would say nothing more than an explanation as to why they should be congregating would be sufficient, as I am sure we can deduce our own reasons based upon something such as a shared "vision" or "prophesy" revealed to each of us in a dream or the like.

A sort of unifying force and common tie.
