MelonHead is correct here. I did accept it a while back. I just made a comment that your character sheet did not make it clear where your character was located.

@Dedonus I did put that he was part of the university college whichever they are called in america in new york. However being British (and proud) means that I am ignorant to any other country other than my own. Hence why new york was my optimal choice. With my characters abilties though traveling to any area in the world isn't much of a problem, as i'd like to get in the thick of it when it comes to the story of this well written RP.

Might be a good idea for everyone that was accepted so we know who's available season 2 (even if you're not entering yet) and who still needs approval. Though that's my thoughts.

Made reply to the comments btw. Also, guys keep in mind people draw inspiration from other sources than traditional/historical reference or might have other information we don't. It might be even be purely from their own understanding and creativity, so make sure the creator is involved over discussions over their things. Also, asking questions or other stuff is a good idea to get a sense of something. If we want, keep that mind not every one will, to have an understanding and unification of our magic stuff then we have to ask, talk, etc about each other's projects. Communication is key to preventing issues or problems.

To get their attention, start PMs and shout outs in the OoC like this:

Also another note, don't make any changes to the Lore Docs, unless it's a quick grammatical edit that you are sure of. I mean an actual spelling mistake and not an intentional word left in. You can chat all you want about things but don't go changing things behind other's back unless you notify them like Fallen suggested.

Fdeviant, is it alright if I added the herb Moly, which appeared in Book 10 of the Odyssey to this section? It has already appeared in the IC and there is not really a good place for it anywhere else in this document.

Same concern here, as traditionally evocation is the summoning of spirits, demons, mystical forces. Your form of evocation has some overlap with the Arcane Stream system and it might be better to just lob this under what is possible using the Arcane Stream.

Ummm... Guys, you realize you're sort of discussing things without the official creator and already sounds like you're already making changes without consent. This isn't making me very comfortable at all to be honest if that's what you're doing. My suggestion: Contact Tearstone with a shout out over the OoC and/or PM about this stuff first before officially making changes or discussing them. This includes Gowi. They might have reasons for how they formatted them which aren't in the descriptions.

No as this is a public link. If it was private and send invite, yes I would. I'm also reminding everyone and pointing out what it looked like to me. I didn't think you two intended on altering anything which why I stated 'if that's what you're doing' because I've been known to be mistaken before. However what I said in the OoC is very true and important for everyone, including myself, to keep in mind. It also opens the door for the creator to gain ideas or input over their creation as long as we keep in mind the original creator has final say over it.

Thaumaturgy - Tearstone

Historically speaking, Thaumaturgy and Theurgy are highly religious forms of practice related to priests and a sense of catharsis, whereas sympathetic magic (the form of magic that relates two parts to a whole), and pors pro toto (part for whole), were just magical concepts employed by any number of magical practices. Being that this is a fantasy setting, we can redefine terms as much as we want, but it might be to this lore's benefit to have a clear definition of Thaumaturgy. (But obviously a lot of stuff in here is WIP, so this is just a suggestion)

To clarify, the suggestions that I made weren't made for the purposes of altering someone else's ideas, they were made with the idea of clarity in mind. Especially with Thaumaturgy, I didn't fully understand what the author was trying to achieve so I came at it with the historical context in order to provide a definition that was pre-established as a spring board for thought.

And yes @Dedonus, feel free to do so
